5/5 NL

Hero in UTG+1 with AAhc ($700)

Straddle on
Hero raises to $35
UTG+2, HJ ($350), CO, BB ($500) call

Flop ($140):
954r

BB bets $80
Hero raises to $240
HJ jams for $350
BB rejams
Hero ???

The BB is an Asian player that calls any and all hands. Fairly aggressive when he has a premium (ex. raising $50 pre with no limpers with TT, AK, AQ), but otherwise is willing to see a pot.

HJ has been extremely passive. Have not seen him 3bet once, usually calls open raises and has folded almost 100% of the time to a flop or turn bet.

It's really unfortunate to go multiway with AA and facing all of this aggression on such a dry board, but is this a fold? Should I have flatted the $80 or made my raise larger?

I would go $50 pre. I'm never raising this flop bet. AP, getting such an incredible price I call but I expect to be ahead virtually never and drawing to two outs often.

Why $50? Should I just be doing this with all my opening range from UTG?

Looks fine to me

We lose this hand sometimes, but unless you're completely sure HJ never has a worse overpair, we win enough

Agree preflop could be bigger

Yes, you should be doing it with your entire opening range. We want to go bigger because we want to try to get it heads up post flop.

Not sure why you are raising on the flop. It's a dry board, so there isn't much to protect against.....Hero is either way ahead or way behind. You weren't reraised, so it's not likely V has many overpairs to the board that you can beat. Just flat the $80.

Sure, Hero is getting a good price, but given the action, it's almost certain one of the Vs has a set. I would fold and hate it.

Ugh sick spot, I think we are seldom good but hard to fold for this price. If we were $700 effective I would fold without worrying about it.

Also, I'm not raising the flop.
