2/3 NL

I open AsAc UTG for 15, it's folded to the CO who raises to 45, SB goes all in for 70, It's folded back to me. I have 285 and the CO looks to have about 500. Is this a spot to get tricky and just call the all in hoping the CO will sense weakness and come back over the top? Or is it best to just push all in?

These players are all unknown to me.

It depends how your re-opening rules work on an all-in.

At one time my room had a rule where the all-in had to be 50%+ the raise, so in this case an all-in of $60+ would re-open the action on the CO. It was a great rule, imo, and much more in-line with the spirit of "significant action".

However, my rule has recently adopted the more common rule where the all-in has to be 100%+ of the raise (which is a horrible rule, imo, due to not being in the spirit of "significant action"). That would mean the all-in would need to be $75 for the action to be re-opened on the CO.

So make sure you know your rule.

Otherwise, there are pros and cons to flatting. Pros: He isn't able to hero fold big pairs (which most people are capable of doing nowadays to 4bets). Cons: He likely won't be able to fold AK preflop, but will be able to postflop if he whiffs, plus also be able to fold QQ on A/K flops / etc.

I think if the action is re-opened then flatting to induce is fine. If the action is closed, I think there is more argument for re-raising (although I don't think flatting is horrible). IMO.
