Hero, sat down 1st hand got pocket kings, doubled up with full house, next big hand felted someone with aces. Got around $300+

Villian, young TAG, plays strong hands

Villan raises to 10 at cutoff

Hero calls on button with A10 of spades

Flop 883, two spades

Villan Leads for 15, I call

Turn, A

Villan leads to for 25, I call

River, Q
Villain bets 45, I take a long time but eventually call. i know I'm probably beat but I could be choping with worse aces not likely though ha..my question is should i have played this hand more aggressively, eventhough my opponent only plays the nuts kindy? I feel like i can make alot of hands fold on the flop with strong checkraise

Raising flop looks good to me.

We have decent equity vs any PP that isn't AA, very good if it is below TT.

You are deep enough to have fold equity, and it would be difficult for villain to float bigger Ax OOP.

I'll pop it to $50.

lol ya i'm never folding either unless its the nittiest of opponents. but its a decent rule of thumb to fold to a tight opener with ATs if your not confident playing post flop, and there is a decent chance you get value owned against a stronger A.

we don't have eff stacks of V, but if he was 100bb eff, its not an auto call if we don't have a further plan to play post flop other than spike a good hand.

V is also described as a young tag that plays strong hands. not much we are ahead of if he has a strong opening range. If there were further info, such that he opens wide in lp, or fires one barrel post flop and then admits defeat if called, then i'd be more inclined to call.

calling bc "hey look, ATs, can't fold this pre, I could make tp or a flush" then ya, I'd say its just better to fold.

Def call pre
Reraise flop since youre ahead of his range with the two overs and a nfd so its gonna be hard for him to continue with smaller pps and other stronger Ax hands and if he does you pretty much have a flip.

If he checks turn bet ~70% pot since you would do that with all your bluffing range and hes not gonna give you enough credit for the A to fold lets say 99 here.

You could valuebet river if you have reads on him that allow you to do so otherwise just check it since not many underpairs are going to call anyway and youre splitting against any other ace so checking is probably best.
