2-3, 100-500 buyin. About 300 effective. This hand was played against me. So my opponent will be hero in the bb and I am villain in the sb

Hero in bb with 9c7d
Pre: utg btn v call, hero checks

Flop (12) : JcTc8d
V checks, hero 10, utg call, btn 25, V cr to 100. Hero..

I think just jam and hope we hold.

Actually I don't think this is that amazing of a spot because we are dead to a chop vs Q9, KcQc and AcQc are actually ahead in equity (although those hands probably raise pre), and between all the outs from flush/combo draws and sets/two pair, we're not necessarily doing great in a multiway all in. Maybe you fold out some flush draws without a combo draw at least and hope to get it heads up vs 2 pair, maybe even AJ.

For 100bb effective, hero should probably just jam.

It's a limped pot and there's plenty of hands V's can have that can take this line we beat. 88 and TT are often limped in LLSNL. JT may do this. Any combo draw that is a pair with straight draw, flush and straight combo draws....etc.

We aren't deep enough to think about flatting or folding IMO.

I also just see a flop preflop.

I also PSB the flop.

And I probably just nit fold to this action. Basically, I'm not going broke in a limped pot to this huge action. Villain has committed himself for stacks facing a bet/call and a raise. He can see there is a possible straight on board, so is this what people do with non-straights to this action? Some percentage of the time, sure. But not most of the time, ime. Meanwhile, he's not the only one that can have us beat. And even the times we do manage to get it in good, we'll lose a decent chunk of the time.

Really hate this spot. You know the saying, never go broke in a limped pot. We might be chopping against the same hand and don't even have the nuts. Even if we have the best hand, we likely need to fade FH draws or FDs and/or SDs! It is kind of nice to have 9c as it blocks Q9, blocks some combo FD / SD and 1 less out for FD.

I think I fold here having invested only 4bb.

With that sizing V looks to have committed himself, most likely with bottom set or 2 pair since he checked his BB, maaaaybe sometimes NFD or KQ if he's too risk averse to raise pre. I think hero can probably just jam because the pot is already out of control, but ideally I think it's better for him to call and hope he gets another customer & the turn bricks to ensure V jams. I've seen players bet/fold for 3rd of their stack which I dont like, so I opt for call.

check/cold3-bet on flop in a limped pot might be the most nutted **** I've ever seen. Since V def has all 12 combos of nut straights in his range, don't fault a fold tbh. Edit: and having the 9c makes it much more unlikely V has a combo draw he might wanna do this with, so you kinda just have to bank on him overvaluing 2p or not raising TT or JJ pre.

Villain's range having completed SB and presumably not being a donk who doesn't raise AQ, KQ is probably Q9+98cc.
