1/2NL Full Ring
V1 is a tight reg who I play with a lot. NIT but can bluff
V1 has around 90-100bb
H covers him and has a pretty laggy image at table

4 limpers (including V1)
H in SB with 8d7d raises to $16

V calls: Heads up to flop ~$40

8s 9d 9h

H checks
V bets out $40

H?????

My pre flop idea was to steal the pot but since we are past that,
Does a call here commit me to hand?? (Fact that V will have around 45bb left after bet)
Is this a snap fold??
Any equity in calling with BDSFD and bottom pair on this board?
If I put V on having a 9 (which I do) is there any value of seeing a turn?

Pre I would actually just complete...People at these stakes are pretty stationary, so raising just results in a bloated pot OOP for the most part.

I would c bet this combo on the flop. As played, I think we just have to fold. We are facing a PSB and have to play the rest of the hand OOP with a marginal holding that is unlikely to improve.

Im cool with that.

Not really but checking this flop after your play preflop is pretty atrocious. I have no idea why you checked.

Is this a snap fold??

No, I might crai now

You cant look at your hand like "bottom pair" with this action and this flop. You have a decent sized pair which is very likely ahead of him. He shouldve raised preflop with TT or better. Nits dont call large preflop raises with 9x especially when the raise comes from the blinds and its probably going to be heads up.

If I put V on having a 9 (which I do) is there any value of seeing a turn?

Putting him on a 9 is MUBSY but if you do, of course you have to fold. Hes going to have a smaller pp than 88 very often here. If he doesnt raise much preflop he could have TT/JJ but if that's the case he can also have things like AK/KQs and think he can take it down once you check.

$16 pre flop is too small to squeeze with.

On flop think about what range your check represents to V. KK,QQ,JJ,TT probably not in that range. AK,AQ, AJs, probably are IE your check represents weakness. Bet-fold line seems to be right here on the flop.
