Hero: HJ
Hand: 7
6
Stack: $300
BB
Stack: covers hero
C/O
Stack: $170
This is my second hand at the table, but I've played with c/o before, and never played with BB.
c/o is a middle age black dude. He seems to be average for player pool at this particular casino, but has too much gambool in his blood. He consistently shows up with a weak hand range later in hands. His LP range is as wide as J6o to a single raise. Furthermore, once he catches a piece of the board he's very sticky and will pay you off with even 3rd pair on the board. He's closer to a calling station when in call down mode, and uber aggressive/spew when taking the betting lead.
BB is an unknown but covers hero. He's a middle aged white guy.
Hero: is a sexy beast who just happened to lose his first hand in a spot where I should've folded to a river bet made by an OMC, but I did not... I think the table knew the river bet was a fold on Q
9
5
5
2
run out... OMC was representing a 5, and I did not believe.
That hand:
laggish player opens to $12, hero flats K
Q
from c/o. Button (c/o in the above hand) flats, OMC in BB flats
flop: Q
9
5
BB checks, PFR $15, hero flats, Bu flats, BB flats
Turn: 5
BB leads for $50, folds to me, call, bu folds
River: 2
BB leads for $100
I know I know, fold turn I know. It was my first hand at the table, and I thought BB would c/f a 5 on the flop... but I didn't consider that the flop bet was small, and he was closing the action so he CAN have a 5 there. I got married to my hand, wasn't even comfortable in my seat yet... It was a huge mistake, I agree with you.
so the very next hand is 7
6
and I'm not sure how the table views me after K
Q
hand, thought I'd add that hand in here for you guys to analyze.
On to the hand:
folds to hero in HJ, $12, c/o calls, BB flats
Flop($36): 9
5
2
BB leads for $20
Hero flats
c/o flats
folding is out of the question here. Calling/raising both have their merrits. Is this a spot where we're willing to raise/get it in vs BB?
I'm not sure if BB leads his sets here, the average V at this level likely c/r or c/c rather than donk, but it's possible he's capable of donking the top of his range.
Turn($96): K
BB leads again for $55
Hero flats
Bu flats
Should hero raise this turn card most of the time?
River: A
BB checks,
hero?
Check behind, call it a day and move on to the next hand? or bet to try to take the pot down?
