Not too often I play a hand that is actually interesting enough for my lazy ass to post but thought this was worthwhile.

Villain is 32rrew. I have limited experience with the guy but he seemed pretty nitty. The stats I had on him (500 hands) are 12/8/1.7 with a 4.5% 3 bet and 38% agg frequency. My stats for this session were 21/16 so he probably views me as fairly laggy for FR even though we haven't really played any big hands together at this point.

Comments on all streets appreciated. I would put my thought process behind my plays here but I am not sure if that would bias responses. Let me know if I should.

I probably just fold pre, it's pretty marginal but I don't hate a call

You're obviously bluffing the river but I don't think he folds higher pairs. Most big hands get raised on the flop so your hand looks more like a bluff.

I'd like this better if you were the button.

If Villain isn't thinking too hard about this he might fold JJ.

Unfortunately, once you call the flop it removes a lot of the strongest hands from your range, and by betting the turn you eliminate a lot of the 7s too. Besides, I can't imagine you're cold-calling preflop there that often with pocket pairs below TT ...

Not so sure how I feel about preflop, especially since SB will still be able to reraise if BTN shoves.

yeah this flop kinda narrows my range, makes it harder for me to rep the set

in the heat of the moment I knew it was the only way I had a chance to win the hand, but I realize now that it is hard for me to represent there with the coldcalls preflop and on the flop

Your hand is pretty much face up, so the river shove doesn't make much sense if he can read lines. I don't really like the turn bet either, and I'm not just being results oriented.

i think you have 88-QQ always with 88 folding some pf so youre trying to make him believe you have the strong part of your range and that never works nowadays.

lol you haven't played with me much lately have you.

i would agree that my range is pretty narrow by the river and yeah the turn bet sucks. i'm just a sucker for turning a hand with showdown value into a good ol' multi-barrel bluff
