Vilain had AK

Here is my hand :

Party Poker, $3/$6 NL Hold'em Cash Game, 7 Players
LeggoPoker.com - Hand History Converter

UTG+1: $624
MP: $682.05
CO: $189
BTN: $413.65
Hero (SB): $1,213.65
BB: $394
UTG: $934.50

Pre-Flop: A K dealt to Hero (SB)
2 folds, UTG+1 raises to $24, 3 folds, Hero calls $18

Flop: ($48) A J 8 (2 Players)
Hero checks, UTG+1 bets $40, Hero raises to $110, UTG+1 raises to $222, Hero ??

Given our dynamic, I figured his flop 3bet was mostly for value (or maybe Ax spade but my equity isn't so great against).

Given his UTG range range in the first ahnd not a massive fan of the double barrel given the turn, id prefer a club or just shut down normally. Especially vs said villain.

Anyway i actually like a fold in the second hand, I think his range beats ours pretty solidly.

taking this line with this hand makes no sense at all if you're gonna give up so easily

this is incorrect.

If the villain will flat a wide # of hands that we beat facing our raise it becomes the more profitable way to play it. Even MORESO if he will 3 bet when we are behind and flat otherwise.

that's a lot of unsubstantiated ifs.

So you mean he will 3bet his AQ/AT or even KQ here because he is scared of being suck out twice by a 2 outers ?

flatting PF is crime. Now call and stack off on turn.

If the first hand is fresh in villains memory, I don't think you should be folding. Get it in at some point on flop or turn, whenever.

EDIT: AND HE MAY DO SOME VERY AWFUL THINGS LIKE OVERADJUST OR DO BAD CALL. AND MY ENGLUSH SICKS, I KNOW IT.

edit2: and do you like my caps lock?

edit3: and anyway PF 3bet is pretty standard here.

I've never played 600FR, but in general I was just getting at that it'd easily be fine to flat AKo oop vs a solid player's EP open. Flatting will depend a lot on how recent the 88 hand was. If it's real recent, he probably won't expect us to stack off light again, so sure raise pre. If it's been a while, it can definitely be fine if villain overadjusts.

When you phrase your caps argument with that logic, I can't disagree. I just thought it was exaggerating to say flatting pre is a crime.

Thinking about it some more, I do agree fully that 3b/get it in pre would be the most optimal line. As played, it's close but I'd lean towards getting it in after you c/r. However, I'd rather c/c flop. CCC wouldn't be out of the question.

OK, so leme preface this bysaying I'm ****ing hammered. Hand 1 is bad, you rep nothing and you sucked out. Hand 2 why THE F.UCK would you take this line if thise is even a decision. I don't understand.
