I know nothing about v2.
V1 moves between Lag and Tag, definitely on the Lag side today. He has been floating me in position constantly.

V1 Posts BB ($600)
folds around
V2 limps from CO ($465)
Hero (1400) raises to $30 from button w 78
SB folds
V1 Calls $30
V2 calls 30

Flop ($90) is 337
v1 checks
v2 checks
Hero bets $60
v1 calls $60
v2 shoves 435

I had no idea what to make of this. Really dry flop and a sick oversized CRAI. Pocket Pairs don't make a lot of sense to me. 44-66 don't seem to make this play. 88+ Don't seem to check through. 77 Seems like an overplay when you flop the near nuts.
Maybe some sort of A7s hand limp/called and now is overplaying it.

I'm pretty sure that this has to be a fold, but still confused about this hand.

Thanks

Preflop: Either calling or raising is good, but the more likely SB is to call you the more I lean toward overlimping.

Flop: As played, the bet looks good. Once the check/raise comes I'd ditch the hand. In my experience massive overbet all-ins usually represent combo draws, monsters, or very strong hands that are afraid of monsters. With no draws on this board, this probably means you are facing something significant. It's a very strange bet for a bluff when raising less than AI accomplishes basically the same thing as a shove. Furthermore, not only do you have to worry about the CO, but v1 is representing a hand that beats 87 (whether he has something better is a different matter, but he's at least representing a range that beats 87).

Just my opinion...

I'm snap folding this vs an unknown. There are some guys I am never folding in this spot against, but I hate stacking off against unknowns.

The flop bet is anything he wants to play here but which isn't so strong that he wants to slow play. V2's stack size basically forces him to shove or fold. If he calls the pot is $270 and his stack is only $375. Any further action and he is pot committed. I would guess lots of over pairs 88-TT, with a few hands like A7s and 34s. Those hands figure to be ahead right now a lot and he has enough left to have some FE but any future cards are likely to make his situation worse. Depending on the player, there is some chance of bluff, but it could be never to fairly often in this situation.

In any case, this is a trivial fold. V1's could be beating you already, and V2 is representing an even stronger range.

This is just unacceptable. Either give us some observations (physical appearance; age; comfort level at table; etc.), or don't post the hand.

Why are you raising to $30 over V2's limp when you "know nothing" about him?

Okay he is 45-55 and some form of middle eastern. He seems to have clearly played poker before.
I assume that anyone open-limping the CO is probably not good.

And I'm raising because I'm always raising an open limp when I'm on the button with SC unless I know him to be particularly tricky and likes to limp-RR.

Fold. I usually just call pf with these hands that play well in position multiway.

easy fold A7 88-JJ appears here about 90% of the time

theres no reasin to hero call this

yes he may have QJs or some othe random bluff a bit but this is not a good spot

wait for the next time he does this and you have AA and snap him off

V2's line is standard for mid-overpairs 88-JJ, maybe QQ. See this a lot from MAME(middle-aged/middle-eastern) guys.

V1's check-flat call is interesting.

Fold.
