3 limpers and I rase to $40 with T

BB & UTG +2 calls. UTG +2 is in between OMC/TAG

I have $1K behind and UTG +2 has me covered

($135) T

BB & UTG +2 checks. I bet $120, BB folds and UTG +2 calls

($375) A

Hero? My specific question here is pot control vs. trying to protect your hand from possible draws vs. extracting maximum value from 2 pair?

it depends on stacks how much did you both start with? I'm not worried about pot control, we do that with medium strength hands, not really with sets.

I’d go for geometric bet over next to streets. You can’t put him on KJs yet, only 4 combos. If he has AQ (9combos) you want to get stacks in. If he’s OMC then AQ is more likely and he won’t fold turn, also he will only check raise with nuts and you can bet/evaluate your price if he has KJ. I’m not even considering AA but QQ is possible although unlikely if he has any TAG in him.

So, with about 850$ behind and 375$ in the pot you can plan on betting about 2/3 pot on both streets 225$ into 375$
And then 625$ All in into 925$, depending on your read for the river.
