Hero has been sat for 2 hours, down 1.2k. 1 failed bluff 1 poor river call. Card dead and haven't been too active at all.

Villain is best player here by a large margin. Poor quality of players here just old people and drunks, no ageism intended. He played the .50/1 games with me about 18 months ago and just crushed quickly. Playing this 5/5 regularly now. Constantly making solid folds and v bets. Has been very active from button today.

Yuck. I'm folding pre. Why play a 4bet pot OOP against the best player at the table with a drawing hand?

Looks like he has AK.

The problem here is he has the nuts way too often to jam. AA, KK, and AK are all in his range

Also get a seat change

+1 to all of this, wouldn't you 4 bet with AA, KK, AK, etc... against this opponent. You aren't really repping much then than Kx, 77, or 66. I think you are going to get looked up too often for this to be profitable.

Thoughts? I think you've gone on tilt because you got bored. It might work and it might not, but if you're going to do this sort of thing doesn't it make more sense to wait for an opponent who in one way or another shows some willingness to fold?

In my experience, bluffing when I've been card dead and inactive backfires more often than not. The supposed benefit of having a super tight image doesn't materialize in real life.

If he's been 3-betting a lot, I don't mind 4betting this, unless you think he is calling pre 100%, this J9s is decent hand to 4bet bluff with against someone who is folding 40% or more. You should make it bigger though as you are OOP, with your whole range. I'd go 230.

OTF I'm mostly just c/f, I don't have enough equity and this flop hits his 4bet-calling-range pretty well, if I want to bluff, I'd fire three streets, being careful with my sizings, I want to bet 50% pot OTT and 70% pot OTR, so I'd size flop accordingly (quite small).

When you bet the turn slightly smaller, that widens his turn calling range which makes three barreling more profitable as he gets to the river with a weaker range overall.

Preflop sucks, just call for 70, if you feel you must reraise, make it an amount that he might fold to once in a while, at least 210. Bet less in the flop, 175 would have been sufficient.

On the turn, its easy to get carried away with what you've been repping the whole time, but you have to just give it up. The king is the single worst card to continue running a bluff on, but if you must bluff, probably would be better to just barrel off instead of c/ring. Checking the turn allows him to check back a lot of Ax and he might even check a flush draw expecting to have zero fold equity. Once he bets he's probably pretty nutted at this point. I doubt he calls your mammoth flop bet with just QJ.

10000% 4bet bigger with your entire range, as a bluff I think you have to go ahead empty the clip for this to work against his range if it would ever work against his range considering he's going to be VERY strong after continuing on the turn. That said also with your loosing image, being stuck, showing down a failed bluff and repping the narrowest of ranges I would beg u give up turn. Also he's a supposed good player that has put in 350bbs into the pot, what did you put him on?/trying to get him off?
