$600 effective

Not much experience with main V. He claims he doesn’t play a lot of NL and his main game is 20-40 limit HE.

H opens HJ $15 with K♦️J♣️

CO calls. BTN calls. BB calls.

Flop ($60) K♠️J♥️7♦️

BB checks. H bets $40. CO folds. BTN calls. BB folds.

Turn ($140) K♠️J♥️7♦️3♥️

H bets $135. BTN says “how much?” thinks for a couple seconds and calls.

River ($410) K♠️J♥️7♦️3♥️9♥️

H ?

I would've went bigger on the turn so river jam is smaller.

Vs this guy you could probably exploitatively bet like 125 and fold to a jam. He might not even jam QT if he fears the flush.

b/f small to get value from a K and not get owned by a flush/straight

I like the idea of block betting here, but instead of down betting, I'd go slightly larger than our turn bet, to $150.

Obviously fold to a raise.

Couldn't think of a worse runout.

Ah is a little worse.

Maybe I'm looking at this wrong.

V is apparently a limit player mostly. I would think he'd be inclined to chase all his straight and flush draws. The 9h brings in every flush draw, and every straight draw for QT and T8, whereas the Ah only completes QT.

If he's a more thinking player, he'd be more likely to only chase nut flush draws, OESD's, or combo draws, so the Ah on board reduces the flushes in his range more than the 9h.

The only thing I like better about the 9h is that it can't make V a better 2P, but V might call off with K9 or J9, whereas we're going to be sick if V snaps us off with AJ.

I like the 150 river bet idea. I dont expect this guy to find any bluffs.

Block bet or X/F river. I prefer x/f since it's more likely he has QT/hearts over Kx given that you block Kx and unblock the other hands.

Well played so far. I like $150/fold. He's a limit player, though, so he might check behind w/o the nut hearts or with a straight, so a check isn't terrible. I don't think he's calling with worse, so I might go for the check/fold.

I'm also in the 150 camp

You want to get paid here. He might have backed into a flush, but that's unlikely. Most likely he has a king. Bet as much as you can without him folding, say, KQ. Though if he's got not much at all left you could just go all in.
