Cbet or not.....

Pretty basic question just wondering everyone thoughts.

Hero played 4 orbits ($1000) Image probably passive. Hero raised a few times with overs, did not cbet wet board. Once with AQ and once with AJ.

Hero won a decent pot in position floating cbet from villian and betting turn.

Villian asian guy ($2100) stack loves to play in position. cbetting pretty much every flop. Will shut down on turn and rivers if called. LAG side but not super lag, probably VPIP is probably around 30.

One to the hand.

6 handed.

Hero UTG raises $20 with AK

passive asian lady calls, villian callls, Pot $60

Flop 873

Reasons to Cbet
1) Hero has been shown to be passive, a bet here could signal strength.
2) Could be value betting, could not be
Reasons not to
1) out of position
2) coordinated board, not sure what to do on later streets

What are you doing?

check.

The flop hit V's ranges a lot harder than hero's. A C-bet is unlikely to take it down and we're left OOP on the turn with A-high in a growing pot.

I don't think c-bets ever "signal strength" these days.

I'd prefer a flop c/r against the laggy guy with position over a c-bet if you're getting the itch to bluff.

Check, this is a bad cbet board and it isn't going to work very often.

I don't like these boards, this is a wet board, and too many villains could have enough equity to come a long, which negates the point of our cbet, which is to win the pot right now.

Maybe if it was HU, we could do this, but I don't like it with 2 villains and we have zero idea where we're at. If the board was more dry, we could cbet for protection, and a double barrel will probably be order to get rid of any pair that hit the flop.
