Villain is LAG Asian kid who seems like a pretty good player but is probably too Loose and too aggressive although it seems to be working for him. He has 3bet me a couple times and XR me a couple times and I folded every time. I’m planning to play back at him with my next candidate. (Stack =2K)

You have the nut flush draw, TP and a gutshot straight draw. Unless you know the villain has the case aces or called your 4 bet with 3x or Qxdd, make a solid 300 bet.

Right now I'm just trying to get all the money across the line. I bet more than 50%.

My original thought was what worse hands are calling a turn bet?

Leaned toward Xing, but being OOP I think it's best to bet as a X through might risk no additional $ going in.

I feel like $400 or so is in order. It’s such a dynamic turn that V’s calling range should be sort of inelastic. But know you’re about to play a very large pot with TPTK.

So my perceived range at this point is probably something like:

AA-TT
AKs AKo
AQs AQo (?)

And partials of:
AJs ATs KQs KJs KTs A5s/A4s

I guess my
KK-TT probably wants to check the turn and look to x/c if I have the diamond.

AK no diamond might bet here? Could be good for value/protection.

AQ feels more like a X/c to me.

And then my Suited broadways that turned a flush probably wanna bet. To get it all in.

Now I also have some air here like KQhh or KJhh that I could look to balance my double barrel range with it I wanna go that route. But I don’t think villain would think I would ever double barrel here with air!

So I’m kinda of running into a problem: if I bet big here, my double barrel range is all thicc value AK+

Another option here would be to check my whole range because then I’m perceived as capped vs a LAG.

And another option still would be to bet really small like 180, which might make it look like I’m not trying to put many chips in to get to the river, maybe with a hand like AQ no diamond, or KK-TTdx

checking turn makes sense the way you perceive it but if V checks and a 4th diamond comes you aren't getting paid.

I'd bet $140 to make it look like your scared and induce a raise from V

What are we afraid of though? He has one combo of AA that beats us, we're free-rolling AK and ahead of everything else.

Betting small seems really nice

This is one spot where I like a smaller bet. $150 - $200.

I guess its not about being "afraid" of other hands that beat us, but more like aknowledge that were setting ourself up to play a very big pot with a top pair hand.

Nothing wrong with doing that neccesarily under the right circumstances, but its important to take everything into account and we should be able to range villain pretty accurate before we are looking to stackoff heaps with TPTK on the turn here.

In game I bet 250 and he folded. I think it was a pretty substantial mistake.
