I open HJ w AsJs to 25. Conservative and passive BU calls.

Flop: Ts8d3h

I cbet 50 and he calls.

Turn: I bet 70 and he folds quickly.

Is this a standard play against any kind of players?

Any comments are welcome.

Why are u cbetting pot, and what are the effective stacks? Those kinds of flops usually get cbets called so against a guy like that who's weak/tight, I would bet smaller round 20, depending on stacks and take it from there. You don't have to worry either if he calls your cbet, we can make more money from him if we get him to call a flop and turn bet, then if we need to and we've narrowed his range down to a low to medium strength hand, we can bet around pot and a half to fold almost everything out. What was the turn card?

Don’t like flop at all. Why are we potting a hand with some showdown value that really doesn’t want to play a big pot? This is clear check or bet smaller. Leaning check since it’s unlikely a “passive, conservative” player is betting a range that we can’t check fold to on flop.

What is the turn card? If it’s a value card, ask yourself how much he will call if he has a decent but worse hand. If it’s a bluff, ask yourself if you can fold out the same hands for less.

Thanks!

I apologize...

I cbet 35 instead of 50 on flop.

Turn card is 9s.

Less OTF, turn seems fine.

Smaller on flop, X/C turn vs passive opponent. I want to realize my equity as cheaply as possible ..... would hate to face a raise.

Stack size is critical in making a decision.

You can tell I'm not familiar with NLHE...Thanks!

BU has about 300 and I have him covered.

I really like to hear about your varying plays against different types of players of various stack sizes.
