Villain has been loose and wild. My image is TAG.

Villain is UTG and raises to 20
MP3 calls 20
MP5 calls 20
Button calls 20
Hero in BB calls 20 with AJ

Flop: AJ2

I check. Villain bets 100, MP3 calls 100, 2 folds.(~300)

Hero?

Ouch, I hate the check on a possible flush flop. Raising to 200 won't give you too much information.

Stack sizes are super important here. Though this is almost always a maxbet.

Yeah, I've been trying to think up a scenario where flatting would be better here and just can't do it. I could be convinced a minraise is good tho, as its all that's needed to get stacks in and might induce flopspew. But usually I'm making it $300 and riding the variance train.

Yes, I checked with the intention of check-raising. I made it 300, villain makes it 500, so we get it all in on the flop. He had 86 and hit the club on the turn.

Then he tells me 86 is his favorite hand. lol

This was the start of a 1000 losing session. Last month I have been losing all of these when I'm 3:1 or 4:1 on the flop.

Since it's spread limit though he was getting the right price to call my check raise. Any insights on that? Should I have flat called and let a card come off before getting the money in. If I see the turn club it's a pretty easy check fold.

I think you bet out $200 on the flop and give him bad odds to chase.
And how does the $20 preflop raise play in this game? Why isn't AA or JJ in his range?

Easy max bet. I don't mind the c/r if the villain has been crazy.
