5/10- what is my 3b range vs UTG raiser? 5/10- what is my 3b range vs UTG raiser?

Do I have a 3b range from mp or lp other than KK+ and AK versus a good solid reg who opens from UTG?

Situation: I have QQ in mp. Do I 3b/fold?
If I 3b and get 4b, do I stack off with 150-200bb deep? Do I call and set mine? What if flop comes 7 high?

Do I call the open and play in position?

I've been having difficulty playing my range vs a good solid player who opens from UTG.

I would tend to call with QQ+ AK in this situation. If you do want to 3-bet AK/QQ here its certainly to fold to a 4-bet.

There's lots of image stuff in play here (namely, what does villan probably think of you)....

but dismissing that, I don't like a call because you will often be facing a continuation bet, missing the flop, against a good player.

Whether I 3b/AI or 3b/f depends on how I've been playing and how much villan knows me.

As default KK+ and some blockers as bluffs, maybe an ocassional 76s.
It changes a lot if there is dead money inbetween (eg 2 callers), might go wider AK, TT-QQ for protection/ not playing multiway. Obv fold to a 4ball with the weaker part of my range unless he is a maniac/very good.

Facing a continuation bet is good for us, we have position and can play some poker. We dont have to hit a set with qq to continue, utg can value own himself on J high flops with AJ sort of hand. Also, we keep the weaker parts of his range which will probably fold to a 3bet.

Flatting everything as a default is almost always better. Main thing is it lets more weak players into the pot when you have a strong, plus it disguises your big hands and keeps you balanced

Umm what? What exactly do you mean we're often missing flops after flatting a single raise with qq? Are we set mining lol?

Anything you don't want to fold that doesn't want a lot of opponents and does best with initiative. Certainly QQ is in there.

You will get 4bet so infrequently that flatting to avoid it is playing to the exception, not the rule. And on those rare occasions he does 4bet, you will just flat and not really hate life as much as you think heading to the flop in position.

Depends on his opening range and his continuing range if u 3 bet. It's possible we can profitably 3bet 72 off for value. we need more details and then we will do the maths to exploit.
