5/10
CO stack = 4K opens to 30.
BTN stack = 1.5k flats
sb stack = 1.5k flats
Hero is bb stack = 1K
Hero has AJs squeeze to 170.
CO 4bets to 350.
BTN folds
SB folds.

OK I just wanna make sure that I’m thinking about this spot correctly.
I believe that I am now in a shove or fold spot is that correct?
He put in 35% of the effective stack, so if I jam it’s 650 to win 1450. So he really can’t fold anything can he?
So then I just never flat and linearly jam TT+/AKo/AQs?

Now if I had 1.5k then I think I should have some flats.

And follow up question. What do u think about villains min 4bet here?
Should he just be 4betting all in here instead? I think if it’s 100bb effective all around then he should just jam, but when there’s some 150bb stack in the mix he can raise this size and always call vs me but possibly fold vs a back jam from the 150bb stacks.

You could imagine your showdown equity versus his min 4-bet range is around 30% (we can put him on a range of TT+,AK,AQs). Your equity would be a bit higher if he has some other stuff in his range. Or a bit lower if he doesn’t have TT, say.

When you jam you can assume he always calls given how much of his stack he committed. You’re risking 830 to win an eventual pot of 2060. In order for a jam to be neutral EV, then, you need at least 830/2060=40% equity.

Meanwhile, just looking at pot odds for a call, you have to call 180 into an eventual pot of 760, so you need 23% equity to call (assuming you always get to see a showdown). You may need slightly more equity that that because you might under-realize your equity, e.g, because you don’t get to see a showdown if he cbets an overpair and forces you to fold a BDFD/Ace pair draw.

Anyway, I don’t see any black-and-white reason you can’t flat. Obviously if his min-raise is really tight you should fold. But if he’s raising you with a wider range and you have around 35% equity, you can profitably call (you need a bit more than 23% to call), but you can’t profitably raise (you need 40% to raise).

you're going to find most people not 4betting enough however this spot is usually the exception; people don't like to call without relative position and it's a lot easier to find a 4bet here vs a squeeze than if it had folded to you and you 3bet.

If you're asking theory wise when we are facing such a small 4bet it's going to make sense to have calls as well. Our price is good and our squeezing range was quite linear leaving us with a lot of hands like TT JJ AQs KQs AJs that in theory prefer calling. In practice if you want to play jam or fold I'm with it. I think your hand is quite close either way, and given that it's actually a spot where people will 4bet appropriately-ish I don't mind jam
