0% chance.

I'm surprised there's been little mention of raising river. I don't like DOING it, but is anyone else at least thinking it over?

The drawback to a river raise is that it commits all your chips in the case of a reraise.

I also prefer bet/folding the turn. The only benefit to checking turn is to induce bluffs on the river, but I wouldn't expect you to be able to induce that many bluffs from a rec player.

Why not b/f like $150 ott? If called we can check and evaluate river.

Err.. why would you bloat the pot with one pair AND commit yourself in the process too? What worse hands do you expect to get called by?

Checking turn lets villain realize his equity for free and not make any mistakes on turn with his worse hands. You can always bet small on turn ($100 to $125) if villain doesnt check raise bluff. If a heart, Q, K, or A comes on river, how much money will we win from 99 anyways? That's over a third of the deck that will scare villain

I'd rather pot control and be able to induce a bluff, but to each his own. I suppose if I was confident that vill wasn't the bluffing type I would bet turn and eval river. On this board runout I'd probably bet less then half pot.

How is river anything but a snap call? Turn check is just fine, and the river call is just fine. For those saying bet turn, you have to bet small to save yourself money when b/f, and if this guy is super transparent that might be the line to take.

As played, call river.

Without crunching numbers or reading any posts my initial reaction is to go ahead and call and I woulda played it exactly the same way. Not saying that's a good thing lol
