$1000 eff. My image young TAG. Tight table, folds to me in HJ, I raise to $40 with 87dd, middle-aged Nit in CO calls, blinds fold. No particular reads on V, just seems to be a standard nit.

Flop: KcQs8h Pot ~ $100

C-bet there? If yes, how much? And please explain reasoning.

It somewhat depends on what you think villain's tendencies would be facing a c-bet,

but being HU I think that means a c-bet is mandatory. I'd bet $50-$65, and probably shut down if I don't improve.

A two-broadway flop hits our opening range better than a calling range, and most flops miss most people. If it were 3-handed or more to the flop, I'd probably just c/f, but HU, villain has to give up enough that it's worth it.

Pretty much what TJ said. Fairly std cbet HU. Most likely shutting down if called

Is he such a nit that he won't even bluff/take away pots when checked to? If so, then I can see an argument for c/f here if he bets when you check to him. If he checks back flop, then you can be pretty sure you've got the best hand. Always inclined to c-bet close to 9/10 times when HU though.

Like so many things, it depends.

Is V the type that would call flop with a Q, but fold to a turn bet? Would he fold a weak or medium king?

Is V the type that would call the flop with a gut shot and bet turn or river if u check? Or is he happy to just check behind?

Against a nit I like a bet. If he calls we can narrow his range a ton.

Rizzo:

Spoiler:
I c-bet. He called. Checked turn, he bet, I folded
