40NL at Commerce. led into on river with straight 40NL at Commerce. led into on river with straight

I was playing at Commerce a week ago when this hand came along. I think I played it wrong. Don't remember exact details, but here it goes.

9 handed table. Effective stacks are about $80.

I'm on the button. There's 2 limpers (from MP and CO) behind me so I limp with 34. SB folds and BB checks.

Flop: 256 rainbow.
Checks to me so I bet almost full pot which is $5-$6 after rake. The BB folds. The 2 limpers call.

Turn: T putting 2 diamonds on board.
The 2 Limpers check. I bet $15. I get a call and a fold so it's heads up to the river.

River: off suit 8.
He leads into me for $15. Hero??

I'm obviously never folding. So raise or just call with 3rd nuts?

Your str8 is somewhat concealed given that you led the betting on flop and turn. However absent a Vil history, I call. 2pair and sets don't call your river raise. Call and don't be happy about it.

I don't know what casinos you play at, but if I re-raised to $40 I would expect to be called by 2 pair versus all but the nittiest of players.

Word. I think a majority of 1/2 live players call a raise with sets and two pairs.

Pot is now $60 and you have $60 behind. Easy shove AI. Also, fold PF.

Easy shove. Calling is a leak.

Also, 40NL at the commerce is a terribad game.

I don't think you can fold a straight with a 40bb stack given this action.

You aren't deep enough to be playing SCs this low profitably. You are playing as a short stack, so you need to be attacking limpers and playing value hands fast. If you manage to build up a decent stack, you can open up your game against other deeper stacks.

Once you flop a straight, you need to figure out how best to get your 80 into the pot. Betting 6 on the flop isn't it. If they will call 6 they will call 10. That would make the turn pot 36, instead of 24. You can bet the turn for 2/3pot, $24. One caller, you now have 52 behind and there is 84 in the pot, making the river an easy shove.

As played, shove and expect to get called by a lot of worse. Below is a range that I think would reach the river as played, although you didn't tell us anything about the villain, if he was the open limper or overlimped, etc. He will probably fold out a lot of the 1 pair hands below, and there is probably some other crap that he floated with like AT and overcards with diamonds that picked up a flush draw on the turn, but there is enough in there that will call (overpairs, 2p, set) to make it profitable.

Shove. Even if this is a blocking bet with like 87, he sometimes goes "Oh I made a blocking bet, he knows it's a blocking bet, kk I call. DOHH!!"

And this too. I was playing the 100 game at Commerce recently and the structure is horrible. I can't imagine the 40 game is any better. The drop was huge and they took it no-flop.
