Both players have 40+ vpips over around 60 hands. Very weird line by the villain and a short stack to act behind me, do I still shove?

I don't really mind shoving, it's not the greatest spot in the world but he could have something like QT, QK, AQ, etc. I don't really see him check-calling the flop with QJ or KTc

He's betting exactly what utg has left. This makes it look more like he has a hand that he wants to protect than one he wants value from. QT perhaps? If he had just randomly overbet the turn I'd be more concerned.

VP$IP without any other information at all isn't too useful for determining player's ranges when they put lots of money in

his line makes it pretty clear the Q hit him and a lot of hands which improved are better than middle two pair... especially if it improves someone enough that they want to play a huge pot. we're really just praying that he had a draw on the flop which paired the queen, but that still has a ton of equity against us
