Felt Awkward here. Very easy to underplay and overplay this hand.

Pre flop: I had 3 Bet MP1 a lot over last 30 min, wanted to avoid awkward spot with AQ here if I squeezed.

Flop: Bet out and fold? Check call? Check Raise?

MP1: 16/13/2 solid regular.
BTN: 64/29/1.7 over 28 hands. There to gamble.

No-Limit Hold'em, $4.00 BB (10 handed) - Hold'em Manager Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com

UTG+1 ($107)
UTG+2 ($511.70)
MP1 ($413)
MP2 ($306)
MP3 ($382)
CO ($80)
Button ($1117.60)
SB ($70)
Hero (BB) ($390)
UTG ($808.30)

Preflop: Hero is BB with A, Q
3 folds, MP1 raises $20, 3 folds, Button calls $20, 1 fold, Hero calls $16

Flop: ($66) 4, A, J (3 players)
Hero checks, MP1 bets $44, Button calls $44, Hero?

When button calls the flop I think we almost always have him beat given those stats. The real question is MP1. Is he auto-cbetting this board? If he cbets here a reasonable amount of time here I like a check raise. If we get called by button it's not so bad. If MP comes over the top it's a clear fold.

I would make a perv raise to 100-110. It will not commit you to the pot if the bettor decides to come over the top and will give you some information to where he is at. If he folds and the button goes over the top, I would call.

Sounds good. What is a perv raise by the way?

I agree with above. Small RR forces MP to act if he has you beat. I get it all in against button if I'm so lucky. Check down if MP does anything but fold, hope the pot goes to you or the fish.

EDIT: just saw PF raise size, could very likely be QQ or KK (also TT or JJ, but I think he is unlikely to c-bet TT here with loosey goosey behind and a little less likely to have JJ. Still very possible though.) I like the reraise even more now.

That's a good way to phrase it actually.

I think reraise fold is terrible. I think putting $110 in the pot to find out where you're at is a waste, and it still prices in the diamond draw.

I think you need to decide whether your hand is good or not, and fold or raise accordingly. And with the opening raiser cbetting this in a 3way, and getting called (even though this player obviously sucks, he can still get hands, and he'll probably flat call with AJ or a set here to be fancy anyways).

If you ask me, your hand isn't good here, and if it is, you're playing a very tough spot out of position in a 3 way pot. I think this is a reverse implied odds situation. If your hand is best, they fold to a raise and you take down about $115 profit, or play a bigger pot against a flush draw. If your hand isn't good, you have 3 outs at best and could be drawing dead (or needing runners) out of position in a much bigger pot.

Call me crazy, but I think the best EV decision here is fold. And I don't think it would even be close, unless you had a really tight image and MP1 will fold AK to your raise. I think AA, JJ, AK and even 44 are a large part of MP1's range, and AJ, 44, and combo draws are a large enough part of the maniacs range to make AQ here out of position to be just like walking into a minefield.

what is wrong with caling ? we are either good or not, it'll be pretty obvious on turn. he aint cbeting turn again without AK.

i like the RR line u suggest, but even better imo is leading out. he has 60/30 prolly station behind him and he aint raising worse than AK into him.

Yeah, I think I like the lead out here the more I think about it.
