Pretty loose lively game, lots of talking and gambling.
Villain is loose and has played some hands passively, although typically seems pretty aggro, in MP with $400, hero is on BTN and covers.
4 limps from EP and I overlimp 77. Blinds check.
Flop comes 9h 8h 6s. Checks to villain who bets $8. I call and one player in EP calls.
Turn is 5d. Villain donks for $25. I think for a moment and pop it to $80. Villain looks bothered, thinks for a moment and asks me what he should do with his two pair. I stay silent and he thinks for a minute before calling.
River is Qh. Villain plays with his chips and then grabs a large stack like hes going to bet, but then checks.
Ive seen villain lie about his hand before a couple hours earlier so I dont know how to interpret his two pair comment.
Whats your play here?

bet/fold here. When villain grabs a large stack like he is going to bet and then checks, it means he has a marginal made hand and wants u to check behind.

the thing with live low stakes is 90% of players do not ever semibluff fd's so when he bets ott he deff connected on that board.
when he checks the river, he pretty much just wants to get to showdown, i think firing 2/3 pot river bet will get called by worse easily even on scary board like that cause it looks like a bluff to steal the pot from them.

Well, I fold flop probably. I don't like drawing to straight that put four to a straight on the board, especially when their is a flush draw.
Fold or raise flop imo.
As played, villain wanted to keep you from betting. Bet like half pot imo.

I agree that the "I'm about to bet, but don't" generally means the villain wants a check. But you never know! Flush is well within his range, and I can't see the villain call with anything worse here. I would check behind.

bet $50.
He isn't going to call much more with just two pair at this point, with a 4 liner straight on the turn and a flush hitting the river.
Also, you're betting small enough that he won't raise without a flush. I'm sure he's never c/r bluffing this river... like ever. So you should just go for small value, and if he raises, then fold.

Bet/fold all day, about 50-60 or so. Villain might not even shove with a flush unless it's a random Axs hand. Actually a hand like JT seems more likely here, but lord knows I've been wrong before...

I probably also overlimp most times preflop.
I fold the flop. A 7 (giving us a set) is only going to make us money on a four-to-a-straight board if we boat up on the river. A T/5 puts four-to-a-straight on board that everyone can see so our implied odds suck (although, lol, our turn raise was called, so what do I know). Plus there's the possibility of a bigger straight. Plus our straight outs aren't clean (could put a flush on board, which either kills our hand or kills our action even further). This is not a good draw. (ETA: Unless this is some tricky call to perhaps steal the pot in position on the turn, but I would typically play multiway pots straightforwardly)
Try to include pot size on each street so we know if sizing is decent.
I bet/fold 1/2 PSB on the river. I'm not big on tells, but the "I'm gonna bet, oh wait, no I'm not" is usually a classic attempt at trying to prevent us from betting a scary river and get to showdown for free.
