it started off 6 handed but 3 of the fish went to smoke

villain- Good player, but he prob plays too many hands and runs too many bluffs.. weve been battling for table captain and 3 betting and 4 betting light

hes a pain to have on my right

Fish- to my left almost never folds to a raise and never folds or raises if its unopened

me and villain- have about $500 effective stacks (1/2)

I have ATo on the button i make it 7, fish folds, villain calls (i expect him to 3 bet w a semi polarized range, and call w suited connecters, suited 1 gapers and hands like QT

flop Q 9 3 r

villain leads $10, i call
(he leads a lot more than he c/r when he bluffs)

turn 3

he bets 20, i call
(i think A high is good here a lot and i cant really rep a 3 so i just call)(i put him on QJ, QT, Q9, i think all medium pp 3 bet and dont 2 barrel so i think its either those 3 ahnds or air and JT obviously)

river J

He bets $50, ???
so im taking weak Q's and JT out of his range along w sets and 34 (i think he would over bet A3 or 34 here and prob 3 bet them pre, i dont think he bets very thinly on this board so even QT prob doesnt 3 barrel ( i would play KQ and maybe Aq like this most of the time and he would definately 3 bet them pre) He has KT a very small % as well...

so i think his range is almost entirely 2 pair or air and i guess occasionaly a weirdly played 9 that he 2 barreled and is now turning it into a bluff

so because i think he overbets most of his strong hands on the river, i think this becomes a call....is raising here spewy?(i feel like i cant rep very much)

I'd like to hear some thoughts on whether this was played fine up to that point and if so which of the 3 options are best (calling raising folding)

I don't understand, You have A high and you want to call 3 streets because he might be bluffing?

river is a horrible card man.

KJ, KT, T8, QJ, AJ, etc all just improved/got there.

Even when this is a bluff, he beats ace high a ton. Pot was 74, he bet 50, you have to be right here a ton to make this call break even. Easy fold imo.

I think t8 and QJ are the only hands that make sense that would continue to bet...i think he 3 bets Aj oop 100% of the time and KJ at least 1/3 of the time so im going to discount those and because i dont think he balances his overbetting range (so all his bluffs are still in his 2/3 pot range) and i think he overbets here for value a good amount of the time... so i think hes bluffing enough here to call.......i would have called on almost every other river, but even w this one its close.......If for example he b/c/b or c/b/b i think this would be a fold, but hes semi polarized and he bluffs a lot and all the prior things i said should be taken into account prior to making this decision

edit: i think he checks w most of his Jx and Qx hands (non 2pair)
