I know that NL600 is quite soft, especially from the quality of the replies so far but can I suggest moving down while you work out what to do with these types of situations.

+1

it takes a big man to be able admit that they are lost and to ask for advice. You are on your way to becoming a good player, just be sure to study the response carefully as there is a lot of depth to them

Hmm, I hadn't thought about coaching before. I might be available, pm me about it and we can chat. I recently started reading some of the posts in the High Stakes forum and I think there is a possibility that players are posting bad advice on purpose as a way of stunting the growth of the poker community. I am worried that people are doing the same in this thread. I am really worried that some of the posters in this thread are serious. You can add me to msn and possibly we can talk about hands. I am prepared to talk poker with just about anyone.

whatever you end up doing, make sure to run your timebank all the way down first so that people think you have a bad hand ldo

some real nuggets are thrown up here every so often. I copied that onto a post-it an put it on my monitor.

time bank and fold, that way you disguise any weakness.

smooth call, if you shove then your hand will be face up whereas if you just flat his 35BB open he won't be suspicious at all and will gladly pay you off with worse (QQ pops up to mind)

ya if u smooth call u can still rep a set

cold-call is good because if villain have aces then you can repa set on the flop (as miaomw¤%¤#%¤#% already said) and you can push him off on the flop.
