Villain could be the worst player I have ever in my entire life played against. He max bought in ($500) 4x AFTER he lost his $800 he had when I sat down, they said he was in the game for 4k after he finally left (he had ~10k wad of 100s). He is a mid 40s white guy with a full beard and slightly balding.

Notable hands/reads:

-Villain limp/calls almost every hand (VPIP ~80%)

-He limped/called $30 pre UTG w/ K3o and CMR a $50 cbet 3way on KJ5r then shipped $175 on 8o turn (putting player allin who called with AK).

-In a limped pot he c/c'd $20 w/ J7 on a K55 board, T on the turn checked thru HU, then he donked $30 on a J and MIN3BET a $50 raise, which got called by A5o.

-Raise/stacked off 3way for $300 in a limped pot on QJ8 with Q9o, lost to AQ

-Flatted $25 pre OTB vs. CO 6way pot and minraised a $45 cbet, but folded to a $140 reraise by PFR on a Q 8 6 board.

-Says stuff like "it's just chips" and calls off $200 on a flush/str8 board with 2 pair. Basically, he's terribad and I obv didn't leave til he was gone. Anyways, to the hand:

9 handed 3/5 NL:

UTG limps, superfish limps MP, CO raises to $25, BTN calls, Hero calls in SB with KJ, UTG calls, superfish calls.

Flop($125): K 8 8

Hero checks, UTG checks, superfish donks $50, PFR folds, BTN folds, Hero calls, UTG folds. Superfish has $300 left, Hero covers.

Turn($225): K 8 8 2

Hero checks, superfish bets $100, Hero calls.

River($325): K 8 8 2 7

Hero...? (superfish has $200 left)

What's our plan here? How is my line thus far in the hand? Are we just c/c'ing? c/f'ing? b/c'ing? b/f'ing? block/value betting? shoving? Fwiw, villain is stuck probably ~3k at this point, and has been drinking a bit.

I'm just betting the $200 and saying "it's just chips" as I do it.

Superfish likely slowplays an 8 (no donkbet). He has no regard for his chips and has already called a $200 bet on an ugly board, so I just ship it quickly to induce a call.

I personally like an overbet shove on this river because villain is just so likely to call us with ****. IMO we make more money even if he calls this shove less often than he calls a $200 value bet.

Villain only has $200, so that's the same as a shove. It's an interesting question though -- how much could he have here that we would be willing to play for? (I'm gonna arbitrarily say $400 left is my cutoff)

I think c/c is correct. Yea he is a superfish and may call light, but judging from the OP it seems he likes to bluff a good amount. I think I would let him try to bluff his air. If you think he checks back this river, then obv jam.

I like a c/c on the river in this spot against this type of player. If he has air or whiffed diamonds he's not calling your shove but he very well might bet them himself. He'll also bet a worse king for what he thinks is value.

Results:

I checked, with the intention of snapping any bet, and he checked back...A6o for no pair.

I think I made a mistake in not betting the river though, I think betting something weak like $60ish might induce him to spazz out or even call with ace high :P But, in general I think I lose a ton of value by not betting here, because he might check back hands like K9, KT, or in this players case...K3o

Didn't see the "superfish has 300 left part". Also yea I would shove for ~400 and expect to get called by worse given your description of villain.
