Early position raised to $15. 5 callers. $75 total pre-flop. Called with Ad3d in SB.

I bet out $45 and I get a called by +2 and the button raise to $145. The raiser and I have history and he raised me similarly in a previous hand a week ago where he hit a two outer for a full-house against my flopped tripped aces.

I don't think too long and call. River is a Jc. I check and button Bets $150. I call. He turns over 24 off suit for the straight.

Could I have ever folded this hand at this stake level? One thing I had going for me was the previous history with the player and bet sizing when he had the nuts; was not sure if he was capable of exploiting our previous history as he might be a very good player.

After thinking about it I think I should have folded the turn because I am not sure what I am beating. I don't think he raises there with a flush draw against two players for a half pot bet; so either he has a set or straight. I thought he might have a big ace and was trying to protect his hand; so I called it off. River bet might be flush draw with pair. Thoughts?

pineapple, if its not too late, remove hero's final decision, the results and also include the stack sizes of UTG+2 and the button.

You'll get more objective and insightful analysis that way.

It might even be better to remove all the action after villain's turn raise.

I think with the size of the pot it's a tough fold to the river bet. I would have called turned to. With the inside info i think a fold is possible on the river. The only thing is he's not doing that with a flush draw with the reraise and a set or straight becomes way more possible.

Welcome to the forum!

Depending on stack sizes and table dynamic/images, pre could easily be a fold from the SB.

Turn - I'd make a tough fold. Since the flop was checked through, we probably can eliminate sets/lower 2-pr and weigh A7/A5/straights as more likely.

GL!

Fold pf. Start reading about the importance of position in poker. Implied odds hands are hard to make profitable out of position in all but the weakest games. At the Commerce, 3/5 isn't the weakest game.

Table has to be ridiculously deep before the preflop call is good. I would be looking for most of the stacks in the hand to be $1000+ because you are fishing for 2 pair or better.

I'm generally calling turn, most villains can be raising with worse hands and might have draws in their range after flop checks around. River I probably find a tight fold when he bets again but it's very history and read dependent.

Mmm I probably call preflop vs a 3x open when there are 5 callers in front of me, so long as bb is not squeezing often and table is relatively deep...
