I change my kicker every week in leagues with no cap... reason being is I then have an extra roster spot all week to hoard RBs/WRs etc. I also typically change DEF every week based on matchup. That alone is pretty much the move cap

You realize you only have to have one kicker right? What you just said about changing your kicker every week to have an extra spot makes no sense. Pick your first K and when he goes on Bye find a new one that preferably already had a bye. Problem solved. Quit angling this you angler.

but if he doesnt change his kicker weekly, how is he going to hold onto an extra RB/WR from tuesday-sunday morning to stop someone else from picking up that player?

Less about preventing someone else - more about speculating before news comes out about injuries or new starters... I like having my oil rights on those backups

Maxing the cap is ****ing dumb, should def have unlimited transactions without affecting waiver wire after transaction date

The one rule change we need is that your team name must include your 2+2 name... 3rd season and I still don't know who I am playing most weeks

i like having a cap on transactions. ok with moving it up to 30.

if you want unlimited transactions, i say you pay for them. $5 for every move over 30.

what about scrapping the transaction limit and just making all add/trade transactions $1?

it builds the prize pool up

This is a great idea in theory, and I've played in a $150 buy-in $5 per transaction league for 5+ years now it's a lot of fun.

The issue is that it means people don't/can't pay until after the season is completely over, which leaves everybody open to being free-rolled in an anonymous setting like this.

easy answer: everybody throws an escrow of $X, say $30 for this example, when you get to 20 or 25 transaction (or whatever # is deemed appropriate), you have to throw another $15 in, rinse repeat. when the season is over, if you only used 15 transactions, you get your escrowed $15 back

if you don't throw money in when you get low, the commish can just reverse transactions you made without funds and lock your team from adds

it's not like you're going to get to 20 adds and then add 10+ players in < 3 days, so everyone should be able to fund their paypal account quick enough to throw extra $$$ to whoever holds the $$$

no worries if no one wants to do this, just an idea. i honestly don't care about the cap, but thought i would throw it out there.

I don't care that much if we have a cap or not but the $ per transaction is a nightmare for the commish trying to chase people down after the season for payment. Did that before. Not. Fun.

But just a thought: someone said the main goal of the cap is to piss off Bip!

Imagine how pissed he would be if the other league (league 2) had no cap!

That eliminates the freeroll aspect but still leaves lot of unnecessary bookkeeping tasks and transactions.

In my league we dropped the transaction fee and raised the buy in and it is much improved.

Increase the buy in and remove the trans cap > leave buy in alone and remove the trans cap > leave this as is > add trans fees

IMO.

But I'm in and content with whatever.
