Hero: ($265)Tight aggressive image...usually dont play in this room so there is no one who would know anything about my game besides the session im currently playing...had two hands go to showdown one where I rivered nuts with AJs and with KK where i value towned two streets...

Villain 1: ($450) 20 something.... main villain in hand who sat down doubled up with nuts then very next hand 3B a guy from BTN and then bombed flop and turn and showed 76 off suit...so capable but he only sat with 100 so cant be anything great...

Villain 2: ($150) Older gentlemen 40s....on his third 100$ bullet....gets welded to top pair type hands

onto the hand:

V2 raises to $8 UTG+1

Hero 3bets to $30 in MP with black AA

V1 thinks for 15-20 secs then flats outta the SB

V2 Flats

FLOP: 10 3 2 rainbow

V1 checks, V2 checks, Hero bets $60, V1 shoves, V2 folds, Hero???

no reason to think you are beat and you are getting almost two to one to call on the money.

very likely but you are too deep in the hand to fold.

Villain could be the type of super Agro donk who flats the 3 bet pre with JJ-KK planning to bomb any flop without an Overcard to his pair. Must call expecting to win enough and lose to TT sometimes.

Yes and if anything, this line makes it less likely he has a set. I mean, most people dont play sets this way, because they are afraid they are not going to get paid off.

I'm quite certain if I had never ever called a crai I would be ahead money today. I understand what you guys are saying about the stack sizes, I just don't get the fist pumping. Remember, this doofus knows how to 3bet.

Doesn't this make this more of a call? If this is the passive guy who has check/called down with 2-pair+ before this becomes much trickier. But against an aggressive player, this should be an easier call. But I agree, I am never happy when I see someone take this line and I hold less than the nuts, because I know their range suddenly got much stronger. I'm still calling though. Wouldn't be surprised to see 22/33 either.

Fold pre.

Spoiler:
But once your correctly 3bet pre, call it off post flop.

We have an SPR of 2 on the flop... with an over pair.
We get >10% of our stack in pre flop.
You really think that he'd call pre flop with TT but he won't call pre flop with JJ/QQ?

We really think that he would magically find a fold post flop with QQ/JJ/ATs/JTs?

Pot has $$380 and it's $175 more to call.
Snapping all day long here..

At Greektown, it's 73o.

Everywhere else, in order to call, we are counting on QQ+,AK to be in his range. He might have raised these pre.

This is the paradox of pfr bet-sizing at this level. You have to bet quite firm to thin the field a bit to optimize your chances with big pocket pairs, but you wind up pot-committed with a bigger stack than you think.

It's a call, I just find it to be a puke call myself.

Very easy call. MCC isn't always the best games ever but certainly not the worst.

:grunch:

I'd love to know exactly which room ... it might change my opinion a little bit.

Meh, tank a bit, tell the V that he must have hit, then fold. Hope he shows.

On one hand I think that the overbet is an attempt to get you out of the pot with JJ, but it's also a common line with a set. Wish I knew more about V. Don't know if I want to stack off a single OP against him.

It was Motor City Casino

Yeah I feel like I've been sleeping with monsters under the bed lately from just getting shelled everytime I get my money in when these spots arise.

Guess it seems standard bet/call flop.
