Most live players 4 betting range is QQ-AA, maaaybe. More often it's just KK-AA...you're too deep to continue, if effective stacks were like 150 you could probably get it in and have ok equity vs a range of QQ-AA and maybe AK, but here you fold.
Most live players yeah, but that comment means something. When did he make it, what does he look like in terms of economic and social status, age, dress, do other players know him, is he a regular, is it a str8 cardroom or a tourist casino? What does he think of us? There is a lot of money in the pot, too much to fold if we have a strong read that he comes more to have fun than to make money.
How much do you think he will lose if we call flop an ace to beat his KK?
This is a very read dependant situation and in no way a standard and obv. fold to an unknown live player.
The comment meant something to me, but it wasn't enough for me to justify altering what I thought was the generally correct play. He was an older guy wearing nicer clothes who claimed to be a patent lawyer.
He made the comment approx 1-3 hands prior to this one
