Villain 1 is a loose, fishy recreational player. Always straddled, even when his short stack doesn't warrant it. Donk bets all the time. Calls a lot of "small" bets. His results are obviously very swingy.

Hero has been playing a little looser than normal, but should be viewed as competant and capable of.making a move.

Effective stacks are $500.

Button straddled. villain calls in bb, 3 limpers, hero calls I'm lp with Kd 9d. Button raises the straddle to $25(?). All call.

Flop: $125, 5 players.

7d 8c 3d

Villain donks for $30, hero calls, button calls.

Turn: $215, 3 players

Td

Villain leads for $60, hero raises to $260. Button tank folds. Action is on villain 1.

??? Enough outs and enough potential fold equity to make this long term profitable?

Two trains of thought here. One, you've made your hand and understand the villain's propensity to call small bets, so why raise here? Why not call and see the river and induce another donkbet and get paid a bit more? Secondly, if you were going to isolate with your raise, why not put in your raise on the flop if you intended to inflate the pot so much when you hit the turn? Make it 100 on the flop if your plan was to get stacks in and isolate, and now you have disguised your hand a bit for the turn that smacks your draw.

Well, I gained quite a few outs on the turn. I wish I had raised the flop, in retrospect. I also chose to raise the turn because I was reasonably sure that a stiff bet would take it away. Plus, I don't think he shows up with a straight here, and against sets we have plenty of outs. I didn't believe he was very strong.

I don't understand the title of this thread. Where is the combo draw on the turn? You have a made hand.

i most def raise flop if your going to take this line. as stands it is practically abc poker unless i am reading this wrong. the raise on the flop gets money in the pot, and it would set you up for barreling if you missed

I really doesn't matter. In theory, I like to raise the flop there. Every now and again I call to deviate my play. With $160 in the pot, why not raise to $130-150 and see if we can take it down on the flop.

As played, I can't see myself raising that much on the turn, but I really like it.

I like your thought process here, I would probably raise the flop as well like as already has been said but as played I would go ahead and stick it in here on the turn and maximize FE and not leave ourselves with an awkward stack size left on the river and know hes not going to fold for a 1/3 psb if we miss. Just go ahead and get the monies in IMO.
