Villain in this hand is an old man regular, and known to be a major payoff wizard when playing vs young players (hero is in his 20s)

Preflop($7)
Villain limps HJ, Hero raises to $20 on the BTN with QQ, BB calls, villain calls

Flop($60) TJ5
Checks to hero, hero bets $50, BB folds villain calls

Turn($160)8
Villain checks, hero bets $100

Now as I'm reaching for my stack of 100, villain reaches for one of his own and even starts pushing it forward(but not over the betting line) as im putting my money in. I obviously feel very good about this as its usually a FD or QJ type of hand. But then....

Villain thinks about a minute and raises to $200.

Hero?? (we have 300 behind at this point)

Usually when people do this they have some sort of showdown value and they try to scare you into not betting. So if he's the type to do that Id think he's deciding to try and win it now and turn his hand into a bluff or semi bluff.

I go 35 flop 80 turn though. Shoving now.

I like your betsizes because the board is drawheavy and hits a limp/caller well. Problem in this hand is that tell 1 says: " I wanna see a freecard" and tell 2 (c/minraise): " I have the nuts!" which prob would mean Q9 with a fd. BUT you have both red queens, so he can't have the nuts with a redraw. So tell 1 becomes more likely and I just would shove.

Yeah, I ended up going with the read and shoving. Villain tanked for 5 mins, said "this is probably a bad call", and called with AT

Yea it probably was a bad call. Good read, I wish sometimes I was able to snap shove these spots. I do from time to time but I am still not too confident putting myself in marginal spots.
