2/5 in South Florida, fairly new game, reads are still materializing, but game is feeling loose aggressive.

I recently won an $800 pot vs a middle aged white man with an accent who got it in with his straight on a mono flop vs my set and I got lucky.

He won a few big pots after that and is now sitting on about $800 himself, so our stacks are back to even.

He limps nearly every hand and calls nearly any raise with them, or makes it $15 with trash. His postflop style isn't clear yet.

He's two to my right. He limps 2nd in and I make it $30 with AK

A loose passive player calls in late position with $300. First limper folds, villain calls.

i think this is a pretty clear fold against a guy who has shown passive tendencies.

Well let me detail how that other big hand went down. I have two black nines, raise from EP, get two callers, he flops a straight on an all spade flop, check/calls flop, I turn my set, and he check/shoved turn. Not so passive there.

not so passive because he had a huge hand and wanted to protect it from flush draws

Fair enuff. So, fold to the first raise? Probably should have bet more in the first place, would have made my life a lot easier.

yea these types of guys dont c/r much without huge hands

most of the time he'll have AT/TT/44. limp/callers prefer to just call down with their other value hands.

I think villain is ready for three value-barrels.
