I think I like the turn raise, maybe I should size up a bit?
I was a bit concerned that my range is capped here, (I don’t have any boats) while SB can have boats (98 99 88, K8s?) so this would be a spot where SB villain could 3bet his draws and boats and put me in a terrible spot. But I don’t give this particular player credit to make this play.
And then on the river I’m not sure if we can make a value bet, we certainly have the best hand a good % of the time so i guess it can’t be that bad?

It’s weird because we’re in a polarized spot after raising the turn ( a reason to bet big), but we’re also value targeting like KQ KJ KT (a reason to bet small).
I checked it back but in hindsight I think I like to bet/fold this river... maybe 160?

I probably wouldnt open J8s in the HJ. That is more of a button hand.

As played I think you should bet the river. I dont hate going small, like 100-150 to go for crying calls. Your line looks fishy and he could have a lot of Kx hands here. A lot more than 8x+. Also a lot of his 8x hands will be 87 which you can beat.

Definitely betting the river. Your line looks completely FOS. I would bet ~200. There a decent chance that Kx hero calls you.

$145 on the river. Hope to get called by KX on a paired board. Flop check back may get you paid, since AK usually does not take this line.

Your range OTT is not capped imho. After flop x, your turn raise would include draws, besides made hands. U also block 98, while 99 likely donks flop from a SB TAG.

So I put villain on a range of draws, KX, and boats. And I figured the draws would fold to a river bet, the kings might call, and the boats would check/raise.
I think if we want to get hero’d by KX it makes more sense to polarize our range here to make it look like we have bluffs/boats, so I like the 1.5x overbet shove I think?? It’s kinda scary tho

definitely betting the river maybe 175. so many kx hands that can try to hero call, putting you on a missed combo draw.
