hero and villain have been playing about 4 hours. hero has tag image and has been card dead. v is a middle aged guy seems ABC tag.
hero starts with 480 villain covers.

fish in mp limps
v(hj) raies to 30
hero(btn) calls with AdJd
blinds and mp fold

flop (72)
AcKd7s
v checks
hero checks behind. (if V doesn't have an ace checking probably gets us a bet layer on)

turn(72)
AcKd7s 3d
v bets 70
hero raises to 150 (we might have the best hand plus we picked up the nfd)
v shoves (450 effective)
hero? is smells like a slow played AA/KK/77/AK not sure what else does this. we are getting 2.3:1

Totally butchered hand unfortunately.

As played, snap fold.

3-bet/f pre...makes it an easy game when he 4-bets you with AA/KK/AK.

As played, flop check is fine. A b/f is also fine.

Turn is a disaster. Easy flat and reevaluate river. You're never folding out better for click back raise and worse shouldn't call.

Also interested in this: ie. What to do with hitting big draws on the turn with a semi-strong made hand?

I think shoving against a certain call or calling a shove is bad because we rarely get good equity with one card to come, if we know we arent good unless we hit our draw.
But on the other hand, just calling seems kind of spewy.. maybe only call when the odds are right, and reeval river?

I don't love 3b/f any hand when I have less than 100bb, let alone a hand as strong as AdJd. Don't really want to turn it into a bluff. I would rather 3b/f A3s if anything.

I flat on the button and play IP against opener's full range.

I don't mind the flop check. It's hard for worse to c/c here and I don't want to get c/r.

On the turn I flat. If he's betting a marginal hand like KQ bc we checked flop, we lose him with a raise. We may have the best hand and if not can improve to the nuts.

River is easy if a diamond falls. If not, I may call a bet depending on sizing and reads.

agreed turn is Terribad and was a heat of the moment brain fade.
a call seems best. not sure what to do on non diamond rivers though. v might bet something like KQ or AT for thin value since we have various AdXd in our range. I'd call around 1/2psb as it gives us 3:1. psb I'd fold. don't think we have 33%+ equity with just the ace in this situation.

Flatting flop OTB is fine here. I wouldnt 3bet unless he's opening super light and calling light as well. If he's playing ABC TAG, what do we accomplish by 3betting?

Flop check back is also fine unless he's stationy and will peel one with Kx or QQ/JJ

Turn is a flat when he leads $70. We don't get value from anything when we raise. When he checks flop, he either has air or a monster. So OTT he's either value betting with a monster or bluffing, which means we cannot raise for value
