Villain is a table transfer of many who transferred to table to threaten Heros stack. Hero is 5.5k but effective stacks are 3.5k. Villain is young white guy early 30s. Unknown but likely a reg given he knew several individuals at the table.

Hero opens AQhs UTG to 20. Folds to villain on the button who 3! to 105. Hero calls.

Flop (210) Qc5d2s

Hero checks, villain snap fires 200. Hero calls.

Turn (610) 3c

Hero checks, villain again without thought snap fires 300. Hero tanks, calls.

River (1210) Kc

Hero checks, villain grabs a bunch blacks and throws them in the pot which when asked amounts to 800.

Hero? We have no club in our hand. We definitely have much stronger hands in our range to call here with such as sets, two pair. Villains line screams 64s, AQcc, Axcc, KK for value but timing tells suggested to me that villain could have been light but what hands go for streets in this manner that miss?

Fold pre. As played sigh call and kick yourself
for not folding pre if you lost. If V has AA or AK he has to be afraid you have KQ after calling twice.

Are you really folding pre to button vs UTG 3bet? is this because of the sizing?

You don’t need to be continuing with any offsuit hands at all, except AKo AQo is a pretty standard fold to 3-bet with these positions even against a smaller sizing at 100BB stacks. Being deeper against a bigger sizing makes it more of a fold. 4-betting is an option, but calling isn’t good.

That and you’re OOP with a hand that rarely makes better than top pair and isn’t happy about it when you do make TP facing more heat postflop. Rather have a lot of other hands to call with.
