I've only been sitting at the table for 40 mins, so far my image is fairly tight.

I won two pots without showdown, with one pot a villain laid down AA against my JJ, but he was OOP and he was much deeper than I was.

Anyway, this hand came up and wanted to get some opinions.

Hero - $680
Villain - $700

Game: $2/5 full ring NLHE

Hero - Button
Villain - Seat 4

Hero - QhQs

UTG - Limps
Villain - Limps
Cut off - Bets $25
Hero - Raises to $85
SB - Calls
BB - Folds
UTG Folds
Villain - Calls
Cut-off - Folds

($260) Flop - 7h 5d 9h

SB - Checks
Villain - Checks
Hero - Bets $160
SB - Folds
Villain - C/R to $390

The pot is now $820, I have to put it another $230 which will leave me with $225, with about a 1/5th pot sized bet on the River.

I have some history with the player. He's not the best player, will sit at the table for hours and only normally shows down 10 10+ hands, however he will get it in with a strong draw to the nuts.

To stereotype the player, he's an older guy in his 50's, scruffy, unshaven Greek, looks like he could use a good shave, shower and sleep. Will mumble and groan throughout hands, normally in Greek and has a reputation for berating dealers.

His range preflop giving that he likes to limp alot is any weak Ace, low pocket pairs, suited connectors and unsuited broadways.

His call preflop narrows his range a bit, allows me to remove the QQ+ hands, as I know he would re-raise. So that leaves him with Ax, SC and broadways

The flop isn't too bad for my hand, however there's the obvious set potential, suited connectors like 67, 78 have got strong draws, however is a small portion of the range. I ignore the one-gapper 68 as the 3-bet pre-flop should've folded out such hands from calling.

His range now is Ax hands with the Ah, a set or an overpair like 10's or J's.

I'm not too thrilled with the C/R on the flop, he's put me in a situation where I'm essentially getting in 140BB's with an overpair.

I'm never calling in this situtation, it's a 3bet shove or fold.

I'm ahead of the Ax hands, although only slightly I think at best.
I'm behind of the flopped sets, but I think I've got approx 10 outs to improve (providing the board isn't two hearts)
I'm ahead of the hands that are looking for straights.

I shove my remaining stack (which is about a 1/2 PSB).

He doesn't snap call, sits there and thinks for about 90 seconds (the longer he thinks, the better I think I am).

He finally grumbles something in Greek and throws the rest of his chips in (splashes the pot too).

I turn over my Queens, he turns over Ah9d.

Turn - 3 spades
River 4 hearts

He starts yelling and cursing, hits the table with his hand and gives me the look like I just took a dump in his mouth. His Greek friend comes running over and they start to babble.

Dealer pushes the pot to me and I have a boner.

After two minutes, the guy in the SB says to me "He's been sitting at this table for about 12 hours and was getting more and more vocal each hour that he didn't get good hands, I'm glad he's gone". A few nods of approval from the table and my boner smiles.

Anyway, I'm looking for a critique on the way I played the hand.

All comments welcome, including cool story bro.

Thx

I've been drinking but shouldn't you have lost? Are there 4 hearts on the board with him having the nut flush?

Edit: Sorry, you haven't been drinking too much, I mistyped.

The flop had two hearts, one diamond. Thanks for the pickup.

Have another beer on me.

Anyway, I had a pair of Queens.

He had one pair.

A'ight when you bet the flop you aren't folding. You can't put that much of your stack in and then fold here with the redraw.

Don't post results - post the hand up as far as when you have to make a tough decision.

So NH i suppose.

Thanks.

Why can't I re-edit the original post?
