2/5 vs V ($800, UTG) old middle eastern reg who Mississippi-straddles $10 every hand. But mostly fit-fold post IMO but not 100% sure.

Hero ($750, SB tight image).

BTN ($500, drooler whale calling ATC pre and post)

BTN open limps, Hero raises QsQh to $50, V calls, BTN calls

Flop ($155): 998hhs
Hero bets $85, V snapraises to $200, BTN folds, Hero ???

I really want to call but it really feels like he’s moving in OTT so I have to decide now.

What’s your plan for the turn though?

bink a queen

in all seriousness, vs a player who is straddling every orbit I'm getting ready to call down unless turn brings in obvious draws for V

So you’re folding all heart turns even though we have the Qh? What if it’s like a black T or J?

Take it with a grain of salt, impossible to truly range V. But in this example, QsQh has a healthy 48% equity and can easily continue.

Best turns for us are the two queens and two nines, followed by non-heart 2s-6s.
Best turns for V are 7s, 8s, Ts, and offsuit Ax that improve Axhh to top pair, and hearts.

Also, 150BB deep and OOP to two players in a straddled pot, I prefer the passive approach of x/c some overpairs on a flop where both opponents can have many strong hands

Our equity drops to 41% on black T, but hardly drops on black J, likely because we block QT and are still cruising against JT, and removes some J9 from the opponents range

Did nobody read description of V? H says he's fit or fold post.

Our smallish c-bet gives V good odds to call with any draw in position. If we give him credit raising a draw, why would he raise so small? To me, this feels like 9x more than anything. And TT-JJ more than a draw.

I guess you can call and hope to bink a Q or pick up a draw with a T or a heart. Against V as described I would prob fold.

He proceeded to bluff off 2-3k bluffing with middle and bottom pairs, missed draws etc to others later.. so I guess bad read and bad fold..

Yeah but doesn’t that leave us in the dark when we say xc $75-100 OTF, and face another big bet on a blank turn? We level ourselves into calling down because we underrepped our hand.

BTN was a complete whale so I wasn’t really worried, but UTG would confuse me if I checked and he kept betting.

Fold - given V descript, and whale yet to act. Hero also blocks some FD combos.

Higher pre given the BTN image.
