Great table on a Sunday afternoon that i'm running hot on. Been pounding these weak players for lots of value on several big hands. Villain in this hand MAAG who i categorize as typical loose passive player that seems fit or fold when big bets are going in.

EP bad player limps
Hero 20 with A8 in CO
BTN calls 20 (Villain)
Both blinds and limper call 20.

5 ways to flop J42 Pot ~$100

Checks to me I continue for $35
BTN calls $35
BB Calls $35

Turn 3 Pot ~$205

BB checks
I bet $80
BTN raises to $300
BB folds.

I ask to see his remaining chips and its about $700 back which I cover. He comments "ohh we can go all in" and postures as if he's ready to stuff it.

Thoughts on how to proceed? My instinct is to flat here and then lead on a lot of rivers. I expect him to have nothing less than a set here and probably a straight or smaller flush.

Basically no LLSNL players, and certainly no LPs, have a post-flop raise/fold range, especially not OTT, and especially not after making a speech. Don't overthink it. Just jam.

I think I’m stuffing it in on the turn here most of the time. Villain described as fit or fold in big spots and most players never raise and fold on the same street. His raise to 30% of his stack says he has a hand he likes, lesser flush or a set and he’s not folding either one. He could put you on AAh and envision himself ahead.

Yeah I mean if this was a tougher lineup and y'all were deeper I think calling has a lot of merit but the dude has a flush here a huge % of the time and he isn't gonna fold. He might bitch about it but he isn't gonna fold so just jam it in.

Yeah you all right. He’s going to have a flush most of the time so jam gets all
the money. May even call off worse than a flush. In the moment I thought this guy might fold non-flushes and there’s still enough behind to play for on river if I call. The posturing felt kind of BS (as in he’s not actually ready to stack off) cuz he was so quick/confident so I guess I overthought it.

Yeah. Maybe a shrug shove with a “if you got it, you got it”.

Jam. Not close. No chance he has a r/f range in this spot. Get it in now before a 4th heart comes out

My first inclination is to also trap here but now I agree with the rest, he’s never folding for 700 more.

What if V has 2000 behind? How does that change our decision?

Also if we are V here and have the K high flush do we ever find a fold for another 700/1000/1500?

I'm a bit of a pain in these spots, but a little bit more about you, eh? What was your 'delay' in betting the Turn? Did you check your cards for the Ah before betting the $80? The Flop bet seems a bit weak 4-ways, but possibly normal for this table and you in particular with this Board and being the Opener. There's no 3-bet PF, so all the ranges are wide open.

While you describe his play as loose-passive fit-fold and that doesn't necessarily apply here as he's now the aggressor .. other than pretty much means he's got something. He's also got position, which allows him to fold OTR unimproved.

Based on all the factors .. profile, talking, image, aggression, stack depth, OOP .. I think you just recheck your cards here and then go all-in. GL

PS .. I guess you could get the confused look on your face and then min-click it to $600 .. then if he folds to your shove OTR at least you got something.

I think there are a lot of situations where that verbal statement is a sign of weakness and he actually doesn't want for you to raise. I highly doubt this is one of those situations though. When he raises the turn with another player left to act, I highly doubt he's willing to fold here.

There might be an argument for calling if we're IP. But being OOP I think not shoving here is a big mistake. What are we supposed to do on the river when we just call?
