2/5 nine player table. In the hand previous to this I had bluffed off 200 on river. I feel like table thinks I am tilting. I have sat waiting for a playable hand since showing the bluff. On the button I get 10h Ah. 5 people have limped in before me acting. I raise to 20. All 5 players call.

Flop: 8h 8c 6h

Checked around to me. I bet 55. One caller from MP. He is solid player. I feel like his range is pretty wide here. My stack is about 400 here. I have him covered by about 50.

Turn: 5h it goes check check.

River: 3d. He checks. I bet 175. He sits acts disappointed. Takes about a minute and shoves all in. My play?

Sometimes in a big multiway pot I might give myself a free card on the flop, but as played why are you checking the turn? All you are doing is giving him a free chance to boat up if he does have a 8, and you are also losing value from other flushes.

I don't know why I checked turn. I put him on flush draw. Thought after I checked it was a mistake. From the way he was playing previously I feel like he would have bet turn with an 8.

You bet the flop, check the turn, and bomb the river....If I'm Villian your hand looks like a poorly played nut flush so I think Villian shows up with a FH here a ton....

why would a competent player bet the turn with an 8 after the flush hit....You gave him a chance to boat up..

Even when I know every one thinks I'm ready to bluff all of my money on the river?

People who act disappointed and then shove have full houses.

But the odds are probably too good to fold here...

I think after 5 limpers you should either over-limp or raise more, at least 30, maybe 35.

Against that many players, I usually check behind on the flop. It's just too likely that someone has an eight, and you pretty much have to fold if you're check-raised.

It sounds like he flopped a boat. But he could have a smaller flush and is putting you on an overpair. You have to call his river shove.

Raise more pre flop $30-35, bet more on the flop 2/3-3/4 pot , bet turn 2/3-3/4 pot. Bet river 2/3-3/4pot and call all in.

LOL at folding for another $225 with nut flush on the river.

Sounds like you got set mined with 66 and your were dominated based on his river check raise. But, the way you played the hand I'd almost certainly bet the turn after you do hit the flush for about 120.

Based on the fact you just bluffed off 200 and you feel like your table image is tilting... then it is a must call with the nut flush after betting 175 on the river. Personally I don't think I would be able to get away from this hand either, even though the paired up board is bothersome.

Not suprised to see 66 and 88 here at all.
The act dissappointed then shove river move is really too strong a live tell. almost alwiz nuts and ntg else. I think I might actually find a fold here even tho odds are ridiculous.

I agree that I should have raised more pre. Also at this table I noticed a 3x bet even in late position with 4 or more callers would still isolate. He did end up showing me 66 for a flopped full house. The act he put on should have sent off alarms.

Grunch

Pretty sure this is a snap call. His shove is less than $200 more right? and after you just got caught bluffing big on the river you have to call. I know I know, people dont bluff c/r shove the river ever but with the nut flush and your recent history i think you need to pay this off. Obv he showed you a boat right? It is pretty consistant with how he played the hand but...tough break.
