9 Handed at a 2/5 Table. I have a very aggressive image, people have said 'here comes the crazy raiser", etc.

There's a mandatory straddle.

Pot: (5 Limps * 10 + 2 (SB = ME) + 5(BB) + 10 (Straddle) = 67

I am in the SB with A9o stack of 235. What would you do here?

Ahh, that's better, (he forgot to put his hand in the OP) I would probably just complete with a plan to fold unless I hit the flop real hard. I'm assuming this is a passive table.

Admittedly, I am not a good short stack player. With only 23BB though in this spot, I guess I'd raise like 8BB and open-shove any flop if it is heads up.

What about a shove preflop?

Just call. No point in raising. You have a bad image and someone will call you and your OOP with a bad hand. If you shoved I would not blame you. You know someone might call with a better hand for a raise, but would probably fold to a 235 shove.

The way I thought about it:

- 25% of my stack is already in the middle
- If people had TT+ they would have raised, also AQ, AK
- So I am only concerned with AJ,AT, 99-22 and I felt as though I would get a **** ton of fold equity vs that range. $225 was a decent amount of money for the table (most people had about 350-550)

shove.it's +EV,unless this hand was played in 80's,people dont limp premiums that much anymore.obv they are folding AJ.somebody nitty enough to limp AJ shouldnt call shove with it.

I'm not sure what you mean, how's 25% of your stack already in the middle? You really don't accomplish much pushing here, you're either going to win what's on the table or get called by better. You're risking 235 to win 67, not a good plan IMO.

And also move to 1/2 and play deep or add on another 100 so we can play a little or profitably setmine

I'd rather sit at 1/2 w 230 than 2/5, but 2/5@300 than 1/2- ducy?

Obviously being the "crazy raiser" isn't working out that well for you since you have 47BB. Maybe decide to shift gears and play poker.

If the game is played with a mandatory straddle, you're playing a 2/5/10 game and you have 27bb.

Shove preflop

(or you can raise to like.. 80 and hope some spaz shoves behind u and/or you shove any flop)

If you feel everyone is weak a shove is fine with the short stack. Folding is ok too, probably better than calling.
