Yesterday I was to the left of a loose player that Mississippi startled every hand so essentially I was UTG on every hand. This casino allows you to mississippi strattle from any position besides the blinds. How do you guys handle this situation besides the obvious moving to his right or changing tables? How do you play against this type of player? I didn't want to change tables cux the action was good. I was also Mississippi strattling but only when I was on the button and CO cux I didn't want to lose my position against villain. Btw the player to the right of the button has priority if the button doesn't want to strattle.

Your situation is the poster child of why allowing a MS straddle is a bad idea.

Until you leave or move, you'll need to just play big cards (which you should be doing anyway in what has become effectively a 50BB game). Raise anything you're playing.

How many buy-ins did this guy drop in the session. This straddle from any position is so bad for the action.

You have to get creative if everyone is limping and the straddle raises every hand limp re-raise. If everyone is passive limp your big cards when you will have absolute position in the hand and that you can call a raise with. If no one is playing raise big cards and small cards with nothing in between. You are going to get called by tight ranges but later your cards will have different advantages depending on your position due to the button.

If you raise a lot, pot control a lot most of your decisions will be stack commiting decisions after one bet on the flop.

I see this quite a bit where I play. If you don't want to change tables/seats, I usually continue to take the strattle from him in all late position spots, not just button and CO. Let him have it the rest of the spots and just play big cards.
