I've only been playing with UTG for about 2-3 hours. On average he raises about once every 3 orbits and calls about once every orbit. I haven't seen any of his showdown cards yet. UTG opens to $20. 2 callers and I make it $150 with AK in the BB. UTG calls and everyone else folds. UTG has about $1,500 behind and I have him covered.

($342) A59 I lead out $175 and UTG calls.

($692) Q

Hero?

If we check on the turn and UTG checks back on the turn and then river is a blank, hero?

Q is not good card for you on the turn. We should check. If he checks back we can jam a blank river for value. 1/3 pot on the turn isn't terrible either.

The real sick thing imo is if we check and he bets $500 and then he jams a blank river. Hard to fold, with what is left behind.

I think our preflop and flop sizings are a bit large. I would prefer going $120-$130. 4-4.5x +1x for each caller, which would be 6.5x. You went 7.5x. When we are OOP at 300bb deep and the initial raise is already 4x the bb I am not a fan of sizing up that big.

Flop I also prefer 1/3. On the flop and we can definitely have some checks top protect a checking range here.

It's generally hard to get away from a hand like TPTK or an overpair as the OOP 3bettor, but here we are starting the hand 300bb deep. We don't have to set ourself up for situations this deep where we have to stackoff with 1 pair.

I would 3bet less to around 120, and also bet alil less otf,

As played, I don't think he's flatting 150 pre with AQ (it's not the norm for unknowns, they usually have at least a big PP and sometimes AK, or maybe he didn't wanna fold you out with aces pre which is still in his range, although less likely). Maybe he can't get away from kings, but either way I don't mind going into c/c mode but I prefer to be the one who dictates how much goes in the pot instead of him, in case he starts betting big when checked to trying to get stacks in (he has all the sets in his range still, even top set).

If I raised to 120 pre, I would bet like 85 into 250 otf, then like 115 into 420 ott, then like 185 into 650 otr (of course depending on what card comes out). The point it to keep the pot manageable for the value of our hand (a one pair hand in a bloated pot 300 bb's deep).

It's difficult because of the 2 callers and AKo playing less well multiway OOP ... but AKo isn't a 3bet vs. UTG 200bb and over deep.

After you make it 2.5x pot pre. and see a flop with 4 SPR it's going to be hard to fold no matter what you do. I probably bet less on the flop, because A95 is so good for the PF 3bet range we probably just auto bet everything that gets there.
