2/5 after midnight game on a Tuesday night. Game is 100% regulars.
Hero has 7s7h. 6 handed.
UTG raises 15, HJ calls, Hero calls on BTN.
Flop is J76ddh. UTG checks, HJ bets 30. Hero raises 100. UTG Calls. HJ reraises 530. Hero Shoves 1500. UTG folds. HJ calls. No more action.

Was shoving here the right move?

Everyone in the hand has 1500? UTG seems bad so I might call to see if he will call. Because if he calls you're getting the rest no matter what on the turn so I'd rather try to get that extra stack in the middle.

I suppose you need to ask yourself whether (1) HJ ever has JJ here, (2) whether they can find a fold with 66, and (3) whether there are any other hands apart from 98dd and 54dd. Also whether UTG can be trapping with JJ and indeed what other hands can be in there (overpairs? AKdd? Combo draws?)

How do you feel if a diamond/5/8/9/even an Ace hit on the turn? HJ probably has a similar range to you and knows it, shoving is probably simplest but if there's a chance of folding out 66 then calling might be an option as well.

Since stacks are awkward once he raised to 530 (if we call we have about a psb left ott with a lot of cards that can scare him or even us) I think it was fine especially with a FD otf.

I don't think UTG is going to call again, so jamming seems fine to me.

At the time I didn't want to see a diamond, T/9/8/5 on the turn versus two opponents who could have straights or flushes on these cards and face an all in so I wanted to get them to put the money in while I was still good and get to see both cards.
UTG claimed he folded 66. HJ has 5d4d. So If I had just called the flop 3bet and UTG called. I guess I get to shove non diamond turns. In this case it was the Ts on the turn so 98 got there.

Calling versus jamming in spots like this are tough calls. Since we didn't raise pre, we're kind of capped at middle set, and UTG is really the only one here who could have JJ. Before knowing the opponent's cards, I'd think we'd rather be all-in with HJ than be all-in with the PFR, or all in with both. It would suck to be up against JJ in UTG and HJ with 98dd.

I think you played it fine. There's a slim chance UTG would be slow-playing JJ on the flop, but he could also have a lot of over-pairs and draws. We obviously can't fold middle set, especially not to the HJ, who's pretty capped at 66, 2P, or a combo-draw.

If we can't fold, and we're going to hate a lot of turns, we might as well jam to get HU with HJ, even if it means letting UTG get away from his hand. I wouldn't expect anyone to fold 66 here, so bravo to that guy, if he was telling the truth. On the other hand, if you flat called and UTG came along, you'd be sick if he rolled over 98.
