2/5 game, 300 max buy in. Hero has $500 and opens 9 9 to $30 in a straddled pot, 2 LP callers (both loose/passive calling stations) straddle calls. straddle seems competent enough and raises more than your average live player and has only shown down good hands. i did see him make a lol bad fold of two pair (Q9) to a $75 bet to win like a $350 pot on a AQ79T no flush. 1st LP caller was the villain in that hand he bet flop, called straddle's raise on turn, then bet $75 on the river with AJ and straddle folded two pair. Straddle covers me, LP has $300

We see a flop of 6 3 3

Straddle checks, Hero c-bets $60 (thoughts on bet sizing? i figure half pot is good on this board to get some value from a 6, 77-88 and bigger size doesn't get called by much worse...), LP from AJ hand calls, one fold, straddle c/raises to $235, Hero......?

Hand 2:

Hero has roughly $550 and is on the BU with A K - One limper, v from the above hand and Q9 hand makes it $25 (he covers me), Hero 3-bets to $75, SB cold calls (he's an older gentleman seems kind of competent but he limp/calls and check/folds a whole ton and doesn't raise much. He covers me), limper calls, V calls

$305 pot pre-flop we see a flop of 7 5 2 it checks to hero... Hero considers shoving but figures cold caller has TT+ a whole bunch and isn't folding

Turn is a K

Cold caller fires out $250, original opener calls the $250, Hero sticks it in?

First hand: Looks like an easy fold to me since it is 3-way and he still check-raised. Smells like A3s to me. And his raise size is BEGGING for a call ($475/$175). Your relative hand strength versus his range (especially with LP behind you yet to act) is way to weak to consider continuing here.

Second hand: Again EZ muck. Anyone who cold calls $250 in that spot has AK beat here so you are getting it in with at most 5 outs (more likely 2 or drawing completely dead to a set).

#1 shove

#2 fold

edit: shorn makes a good point about hand #1, forgot thier was a smooth caller left to act. fold it.

I think hand two is fistpump worthy.

Hand 1:
You don't a lot of c/r bluffs at 2/5 live so I let this go. I like a bigger cbet on the flop though.

Hand 2:
I don't think hand 2 is a fistpump but I like a shove better than a fold. You're probably chopping with one of them but I don't think you're behind all that often. I don't see the logic in 3 betting preflop, spiking tptk on the turn, then folding.

results if anyone cares:

hand 1 i tanked and decided there's no way some rando live player is good enough to turn 67 into a bluff and folded. LP tanked for a while cause he didn't believe the c/r and then folded 88. straddle showed a 3

hand 2 i was pretty certain that i was chopping with the original PFR i just had to figure out what the hell cold caller was betting with. only hand i was worried about was AA but if the other guy had AK as well that only leaves one combo of AA and the pot size bet from an old guy didn't scream a set to me. i kind of thought it was a dumb bluff. plus it was a huge pot and i have TPTK on a super dry board and i'm rolled fine so i'm just like fk it. so i stick it in, cold caller calls, original PFR calls. river is a T it goes chk chk. cold caller shows KQ, other guy shows AK and we chop up the pot

How bad is a shove on the flop in hand #2, because I've seen this exact spot in live games all the time, it seems like this is the best flop ever for shoving... and I do it all the time
