Flop is Kh 7d Qh. There's too many players in the pot and this kind've flop has hit a multiple of callers' ranges, don't want to risk a chk-raise, so I decide to give myself a free card here.
Turn is Qd. UTG bets out $60, everyone folds to Hero, I call $60. Blinds both fold. There's $270 in the pot.
River is 5d. UTG chks and I decide to v-bet $125. UTG thinks 2-seconds and says "I'm all-in." The pot is $520 after I commit $125 & she calls $125 & it's another $500 for me to see $1,020. I thought about for a good min. or 2, then decided to fold putting her on a boat.
History & Analysis: UTG bettor is an old asian woman, others say she's "easy money" but I've never played with her before this session. She had been playing pretty tight, not showing down many hands, and it just didn't make sense for me to put her on a hand weaker than a boat being that she led the turn & then chk-shoved the river. I figured had she also hit a runner-runner flush she would've bet the river too, and that she would not have chk-shoved without at least having an A high flush, which I had. Although the pot odds were exactly 2 to 1, I didn't think that I'd be ahead here more than 33% of the time, so I just folded.
After hand, a K of diamond flashed from her hand and ppl said that she made that move w/ the K high flush, but she could've had KQ. I dunno, I think against. an avg. pro that's probably a good fold but against her I should've called.
Any feedback on this? Do the pot odds alone make it a must call since I hit runner runner flush?
I don't raise preflop. For the exact reasons you said when the flop hit -- ATs misses too many flops and puts you in an awkward position. But on the button, I don't think it's that bad of a move.
As is, I don't fold the nut flush unless it's to the nittiest of nits. K high flush, etc. maybe. But nut flush? I just don't see her having the full house enough. A lot of people will think AQ is the most awesome hand to checkraise with here. Players do exist to whom I'll fold this hand, but unless I have a very very strong read, I'm calling.
