Typical loose/passive 2/5 table. Nobody at the table that I consider to be good. Not much raising pre-flop, I've been the most aggressive player so far. Villain just sat down a few hands ago so no solid read on him. What do you think of my line here at first blush?

3 limpers, Hero wakes up with K 8 on the BU and decides to overlimp. I decided to overlimp cause I had just raised a couple pots in a row and would probably not get any respect. SB calls, V in the BB checks. V has $500 in his stack, Hero covers

Pot is $30

Flop is Q 7 2

Checks to hero, hero stabs for $20, SB calls $20, Villain c/raises to $65. Hero calls $45, SB folds

Pot is $200 - Turn is K

Villain thinks for a moment and checks, Hero bets $100. Villain thinks for a minute and calls

Pot is $400 - River is 2

Villain checks, Hero moves all-in for $330

I think i would check behind here. very possible you just sucked out on Q7 but in a limped pot when he is the BB he could also very easily have some hand that contains a duece.

bull****. why would he c/r the flop with a bare deuce? and if he has a 2pair with the deuce he is rather betting it ott than checking it.

I think you should bet less on the river.

+1 just value town him for something like 150-190. i think he folds Qx here way too many times to a shove

I couldn't give him credit for 2pair+ once he checks the turn after c/raising the flop so I think his range is weighted towards Qx/flush draws. if he just missed the FD he's not calling anything anyway and I think a river shove reps the busted draw nicely to get looked up by worse than my pair of kings with 8 kicker

well one things for sure. if he calls one of you will look like an idiot.

I agree, this is a great play if you put him on a queen only.

River shove is fine, I'd probably make it like $250 or somethin, but it looks like you're winning here
