I can't even explain to you how silly this guy is without telling you what he had on the upcoming hand, lets avoid being results oriented obviously

he'll randomly call out of stubborness with two overcards, he jut plays so randomly seemingly without logic, altho i'm sure he has some going on in his fishy head

TO THE HAND:

effective stacks ~1600

a few limpers, i've got red jacks late position and make it 35

1 blind/2 limpers call from MP including the villain with 22

flop is 2d5c9c

checked to me and i make it 100
villain calls everynone else folds

turn Qh

he bets out 100... i put him on a block bet flush draw for sure, don't think he'd bet out 100 if he spiked a Q
i make it 350 for 250 more and he calls

river Js

he checks to me and i think about going all in, but i decide to just go with 800 thinking he's just gonna fold his flush draw regardless
he calls

You are the uber donk or what? You already knew his hand 22 before the flop, and you knew he flopped gin. Why did you raise the turn? And river of course you go all in.

god why is it only like three people in here are able to have reasonable live hand discussions

no i did not know before hand

also i explained why i told u the results... i wanted you to describe how weird he plays in general, i thought just telling the results would be the most effective way... he check calls a set on the flop... then leads for less than 1/3rd of the pot on the turn

i also explained why i raised the turn... wtf is wrong with you novel, read my post

if you can't stil think correctly even given the results then don't post

do you really want serious feedback on this hand?

this makes no sense at all. if he's going to fold all flush draw regardless of the bet size, and call with his strong made hands then surely you want to bet as much as possible. you're only behind exactly QQ, Tc8c and KcTc so you crush his "slowplaying" range of lower sets, 2 pairs and overpairs. And to be honest, those three hands which beat you are extremely unlikely given the action. The pot on the river is about 1050 and you have about 1100 behind so just push and hope he has the type of hand he has - it's not even much of an overbet.

Do you really think there's any hand he will call off 800 with and fold for 1100?

do i think a logical player would call 800 and fold 1100 no

but maybe he'd fold a 2 pair to the all scary all in, and call 800

i agree though i definately should have just pushed

i was mostly looking for feedback on the turn raise

you've already given your own reasoning for the turn raise. for whatever reason, you thought he had a FD and so you raised to price him out. no one can really give you feedback on this if you had some solid information that led you to believe he had a FD. you could have also called the turn let him bluff a non-club river if your read was accurate (which is wasn't).

Villain: You freaking two outted me on river, didn't you? You uber donk!
Hero: Gets down to what it's all about, doesn't it? Making the wrong move at the right time.
Villain: Is that what it's all about?
Hero: Like life, I guess. You're good, kid, but as long as I'm around you're second best. You might as well learn to live with it.

If I knew the J was coming on the river, I would've raised more. It seems to me that your rivered set would beat his bottom set 100% of the time, and therefore you should want to get as much money into the pot as possible before he is beat, making him think he is ahead when you know full well he is behind. Raising more on the turn is standard -- when you know you are going to river a set, you have to make the bottom set pay before he is behind.

Hope this helps!
