Villain is mid 20's, a regular in this 2/5 game. He's a TAG capable of making big bluffs. Has played hands where he should have folded his hand down but didn't.

Villain probably views me as a TAG as well. Hero has almost $900, V covers.

Im OTB in a $10 straddled pot w KK.

Villain open to $30 in MP.

I 3bet to $100, he flats after a little thought.

943 ($212)

V leads $100, I call.

6 ($412)

V checks, I bet $150, V calls.

3 ($712)

V bets $200, Hero calls.

Just want to see what people think. Bet more on turn?

Bet more on turn for sure. I would bet $250. Also, I really want to raise the river. It looks like if you shove it's only $350 more. He leads the flop, which most players, even TAGs, would not do with a hand that beats KK here (especially in a 3bet pot where you are pretty much guaranteed to c-bet). Then, he checks turn, when if he had you beat, he could bet $250 and set up a half pot river shove. It smells a lot like he has a smaller overpair to me. You said he has had a bit of trouble folding hands, so I think he can call with them, and I have a hard time seeing how you can be beat here.

It would help a bit to know if he is one of these live players that thinks $200 into $700 is a "huge" bet. To me, it looks like a blocking bet.

Bet more on the turn.

I'm tempted to raise the river but I probably just call.

betting more on each street trying to get max value from TT-QQ which should be a large part of his range, a competent TAG should not be set mining with small PP too much here, this line is pretty weird for like 99 too, so I am pretty comfortable value betting away here.

anyone like a min raise on the river??? seems so much like a cheep showdown bet but he might level himself into calling.that might be a bit thin though and commits all of our stack almost.

yea sure bet more on turn but why are we not raising the river, for value, which looks like a clear cut block bet?

Edit (sorry, didnt read any posts before i made mine. clearly we are all in agreement that we missed value on the river.)

Basically my thought process on the river was that it was indeed a blocking bet like everyone else thought as well. either that or I was beat by 99 or AA. The latter being less likely not just because of combos but also because how he has played the hand. The thing was I don't think I get called by his blocking bets w TT-QQ. If he was block betting those hands why would he call a raise on the river?

I would raise flop 275 and make it 400-500 on turn.

Why? if we want to get stacks in I think we should do it over 3 streets.

i like the line pretty much. the turn is debatable, but it really depends on if you read is that he can fold an overpair. if you think he can then i like the sizing. nothing else you really can do on the other 2 streets, as played

I agree with the field for a larger turn bet. At least 1/2P. 200-250
The way played - I like a river minraise.

I like to bet more on the turn IF villain has a hard time folding 1010-QQ.

Otherwise I like the size; it inclines him to cry call.

Call river, nh op.

Yes I like minraise vs this player for sure on river

Also the pre 3 bet should be about 4.5x to 5x since they will call wider OOP. Bet more on turn. Actually if you can pull it off, I like a befuddled look, then shove river.
